I shall travel to Yohohama on a cruise ship. Would like some advise on:
1. What is the closest international airport to the cruise terminal?
2. How far is the terminal from downtown Tokyo?
3. Best way to travel from cruise terminal to the airport.
4. Best way to travel to Tokyo.
5. Best transportation means while we are in Tokyo? And how much?
6. Where can we find some affordable hotels in Tokyo?
7. We shall be in Yohohama/Tokyo for 2-3 days. Any places we should plan to see?
Sorry for a bunch of questions. We need a lot of help because we have never been to Japan. Thanks.

This location seems to come highly recommended; I just wanted to make sure of its location to Misawa. It is about 3 hours by train to there depending upon departure time? That is what I have been told, just wondering. Thank you for your time!
Hey- I am going to be visiting Japan next year with my friend and want to visit Misawa; can anyone suggest fun things to do/see in Misawa?
This may seem a weird question, but my friend really wants to experience hot springs and I've heard there are many in Aomori- are there any in Misawa or close by? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you!
Can anyone give me some ideas about how and the cost of getting from Narita to Yokohama seaport. Like to know the distance, how to travel,a how long it would take
Thank you
Any good feedback on jazz/blues clubs in the Yokohama area appreciated. Most the nightlife seems to be geared towards the younger set in Yoko and Tokyo. I'm more interested in being able to have a coversation with the person next to me without having to YELL!

Hello,
I'm looking for a nice and cheap accomodation in Yokohama from decembre 7 to 18, 2007 in the safe area and with easy public transportation.
Could someone recommend one to me?
Thanks for the help.

I am very interested in going to Japan, Aomori to experience Nebuta festival, can someone advise me when is the time to go and the exact date of Nebuta festival. Besides that what other places that I should go if I am there? I heard that the hotel booking must be made early as during this festival almost all hotels will be fully booked. Which airline is the cheapest carrier to travel as I am from Malaysia. I need more advise before I could start plan the trip and map the route.
need to park Posted: Sun July 22, 2007 02:10 PM UTC
This might seem like a strange question, but I am traveling to Hirosaki by car to see the Neputa festival. I don’t have a hotel that night, but I figured I would just sleep at an internet café. What I was wondering was, what is the parking situation like in the city itself? I want to ditch the car and see the festival but my map of the city doesn’t show me where there are places to park. Any help would be appreciated.
Does anyone have a copy of USARJ Pamphlet 190-10 (Driving in Japan) that they can mail to me. Will be glad to pay for postage and such. Will be traveling to Japan in late July and wanting to rent a van from MWR, and understand that I need a 4EJ drivers license and must take a written test to obtain one. Just wanted to refresh myself in advance with the driving rules.
Thanks.

Hi all
I'm trying to find some fairly cheap accomodation during the Nebuta Matsuri festival 4 Aug on for about 3 nights...has anyone any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks
In 1964 I found a commemorative board along the shore east of Misawa. The Seaman's club of Hachinohe was the ones that placed it in the ocean to commemorate the sinking of the Koho Maro in 1909. I would like to contact some at the club for possibly returning the commemorative board to them.
I am visiting a Japanese friend in Hachinohe at the end of July, and was wondering what there is to see and do in the area. Also, what is appropriate dress for a tourist in this area of Japan.
I am going to attend a conference in the pacific convention plaza Yokohama, Yokohama Japan. Could someone recommend a cheap hotel/motel to me? My price range is 2000 yen to 5500 yen. My only requirement is that the hotel/motel in safe area with easy public transportation to the pacific convention plaza. It will be good if i could have my own room too. Thanks for the help.
Any idea if there is some special festivals going on in Hirosaki during this time of year, mid-September to mid-October? Any place you can recommend to visit?
I'm living in Florida, currently, but will be flying out of ATL to travel to Misawa in October/November. I've read that the "best" way to get there is a flight into Narita, a bus to Haneda, and then a flight from Haneda into Misawa. Is this truly the best way to get there? I don't want a tedious, tiring trip.
