We are staying at the Narita Holiday Inn for a couple days in May. We would like to leave the hotel and go into Narita city for the day, have dinner and return to hotel. What is the least expensive way to get back to hotel after dinner?
How late does the round bus go?

Nihonji Temple Posted: Thu February 19, 2009 09:32 PM UTC
I am going on a 1-week photography trip to Tokyo. I have photographed the lovely magaibutsu Buddhas of Usuki a couple of years ago, which turned out great. Now, I have heard of a cliff carved Buddha in the Chiba area at Nihonji Temple. I have a JR pass, and wondered how I can get to this temple to photograph this Buddha and the carved Jizo. Can someone confirm that the closest station is Hamakanaya? And the cableway will be operational in early April? I need to visit the temple for a few hours and then get back on the train to go see a concert in Chiba town. Thanks!

Hello VT'ers',
I have a stopover in Narita, Japan in April & I need some assistance please.
What is the weather like in April?
I arrive @ 7:00pm & leave 11:00am the following morning. Do I have enough time/sunlight to get to Tokyo & appreciate the city?
Any other info will be appreciated. i.e. best way to get to Tokyo. Is it safe? etc.
Cheers with thanx,

Dinner in Narita Posted: Tue October 16, 2007 04:28 PM UTC
Hi, I was wondering if there are any restaurants open in Narita city for dinner (around 8-9pm)?
I'll be arriving in Narita at 6:10pm on weekday.
I've been searching around, but didn't see any info about dinner in restaurants in Narita city.
As I'll be going to Tokyo for half day before continuing my flight on the next day, I want to at least visit Narita city that night.
Thank you in advance =)

Narita (Circle) Bus Posted: Thu July 12, 2007 03:54 PM UTC
Since I have about 10 hours waiting for my next flight, i wanted to get out and tour the city as much as i can. I was wondering about the Narita Cicle Bus where it takes you to the museum and aeon shopping mall, whether it is part of a tour thing or just a bus that runs through a course (like to museum, mall, airport and the same thing all over again)?? And so, if i do take this bus does that mean that for every stop I take like getting off to visit the temple, i'll have to wait for another one to go to the mall and then finally take a bus from the mall(since i'll be shopping) to the airport? And last question, is this bus crowded - if it is,i'll be planning to leave early so that I wont missed my flight. I hope I can get some help, and hear from anyone soon. Thanks.

Overnight at Narita Posted: Sun April 8, 2007 06:05 AM UTC
The free overnight paid by the airline -- who does that apply to? I know All Nippon doesn't do it (I called them); also, does it matter whether you're traveling form US or from Europe?

Luggage Lockers Posted: Thu February 8, 2007 04:09 AM UTC
Hulo, is there a convenient place to leave my luggage for about 3-4hrs whilst I visit Narita Town? Does Narita Station have a luggage locker? Or is it better to use the lockers at Narita Airport, catch the train to Narita Town and then go back and pick up our luggage again later? Although, we have no need to return to the airport. Thanks.

Cotton Yukata - Where should I buy it in Narita Airport Posted: Fri December 15, 2006 09:55 AM UTC
Hi, I'm leaving to America next week, but I'll have a short break at Narita. I was wondering where could I get a cotton yukata for a gift here? How much is the regular price? (I'm looking for a standard one, not the expensive one) And is it different between men's and women's yukata?
Thank you for answering my question.

Home-stay in Chiba Posted: Thu December 7, 2006 04:40 AM UTC
Hi all,
My hubby and myself are planning to go to Japan either in May or July 07. As we're not the sort who's entirely into shopping, we're hoping to do something a bit more different. I have been told that a home-stay with a local family would be great because of the cultural exchanges involved (of course it is likely that we'll have to stay with a family that speaks at least some English; me and hubby can't speak conversational Japanese).
Does anyone have any idea if there are local families in Chiba who are host families? Who would be willing to host a couple (We're from Singapore) for approximately 2 weeks or so?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or leads. Or perhaps you can point us in the right direction?
:)

Short changed!! Posted: Sat October 21, 2006 04:13 PM UTC
I bought a camera at Snaps in the Aeon Shopping Center but when I got back to USA, I found out that I was cheated. I felt very disappointed as I know Japanese people to be very honest and maybe the store did not intentionally do so. The camera that I bought, Fujifilm Finepix E510 was supposed to come a cradle adaptor but the box did not. I did not know this until I surfed the net on getting home. How do I get in touch with the shop by email and get what I was supposed to get?

Haneda Airport to Disney Sea Posted: Thu July 13, 2006 04:32 AM UTC
Hi there!
Could anyone out there guide me how to get to Disney Sea from Haneda Airport.
What the fastest way? Easiest way? Cheapest way? Please give few options.
FYI, I'll be in a group of 2 elderly, 3 small kids and my hubby and me.
BTW, is there a service in Disney Sea where we can keep our luggage (huge luggage) while venturing in Disney Sea?
Thanks...appreciate any tips/advice very much.

Getting from Narita to Century Hyatt Tokyo Posted: Wed March 29, 2006 04:44 AM UTC
I was just wondering what the EASIEST way of getting from Narita Airport to Century Hyatt Tokyo would be. I know there is the airport train but that will mean transferring to another train to get to Shinjuku and then figuring out how to get to the actual hotel.
I think I'd prefer the bus even though I know it will take me longer, at least it will drop me right at the hotel (is that correct?)
Is the airport bus something that I have to prebook or can I just get it when I arrive? Arriving at 7pm, clear customs and immigration would be i'm guessing about 8pm)
On the way back the flight departs at 11.45am, need to be there by 9.45am so would have to leave the hotel by ???am - I assume the hotel can arrange the return or can I do that when I buy my ticket to the hotel.
Thanks in advance...

INTERNATIONAL FAXES from Japan to the USA Posted: Tue March 14, 2006 02:32 PM UTC
Hullo! Does anyone know SPECIFICALLY where I can send a one page fax from Narita/Chiba/Tsuga/Shisui and any other surrounding areas to the US? I've tried several convini stores (7-11, mini-stop), even the Internet Cafe in Narita...but they said they can't send international faxes...can I ask the post office?
Thanks
