Hambantota, Ayurveda Oasis Beach Resort: What's the beach like?

Hi everyone,

I am planning to stay at the Oasis Beach Resort in Hambantota, South Coast, Sri Lanka. Has anyone been there? What's the beach like? Are the beaches around Hambantota as sweeping and beautiful as on the West Coast? I don't care if there are currents and if it is dangerous for swimming, but I would like to go on long walks. I already know the beaches of Bentota and Beruwela, which are absolutely beautiful.

Also - do you know if end of November/beginning of December is a good time to visit the South Coast or is it very rainy?

any informaton on hambantota and surrounding areas also the oasis hotel as I am a first time traveler in sri lanka.
