Siena Villa Certano - Agriturismo
Posted: Mon April 30, 2007 06:28 AM UTC
We are planning to stay two nights at the Villa Certano, an agriturismo 7 km from Siena. Has anyone stayed here before and have any reviews or comments on them? They have a pretty sleek website www.villacertano.com and I'm surprised that there are no reviews on them.

Thanks in advance!

I am trying to book rail tickets from Chiusi to Florence and Chiusi is not listed in the Italian Rail web-site. Is it the same as Chiusi C.T.? What does the C.T. stand for? Thanks for any information you can supply.

Siena Need a simple, cheap flat/studio/apartment in Siena for June and July 2007
Posted: Tue January 30, 2007 12:45 PM UTC
Does anyone know if it is possible to rent a flat/studio/apartment for June and July 2007 that doesn't exceed 150.00 Euros per week? I have looked online but all of the stuff is targeted at tourists on vacation. I have to spend some time working in Italy, so I don't see any reason to pay for vacation accomodation when I am not on vacation. Can anyone help?

Siena TRANSPORTATION TO ABBEY OF SANT'ANTIMO
Posted: Fri November 3, 2006 08:24 PM UTC
I am staying in Siena next week and I would like to find out if it is
possible to travel to the Abbey of Sant' Antimo without using a car.
Is it possible to get a bus from Siena to the village of Montalcino
and then walk (I have seen a reference to a sign-posted path from the
monastery to Montalcino on the Abbey Web page)
OR is a taxi the only option?
Thanyou!

Siena Parking and a Shuttle?
Posted: Sun July 9, 2006 08:47 PM UTC
We will be passing through Siena (via car) on our way to stay in Monepulciano.
Can you please suggest a place or area as you approach Siena from the north for parking. Or should we not be concerned? Do you park outside the wall and walk in?. How about a shuttle? Or those little tram/trains..are they available from the parking areas? We can only spend a few hrs. in Siena...but, I figure better 2 or 3 hrs. than none.Thought we would just walk around the plaza.
Does anyone know if you can purchase flags or banners in Siena of that special horse race? Flags of the various animals represented in the race?
Thanks for your help.
