Need your advice on a budget hotel for a female that could be easily accessed at night. The festival ends around 11p.m. on the 8th of August, and I will use public transportation. (the festival is on the beach right near JAL SeaHawk)
Will be spending X'mas Eve/Day in Fukuoka, and would like a recommendation for a real special and nice dinner place - probably something more than just ramen or street stall.
Going to Hokkaido for ski trip from 20 Dec to 3 Jan, and I will be stopping over in Fukuoka enroute to Sapporo. Wondering how many days should I spend in Fukuoka/areas around (Aso? Beppu? Kumamoto?). Was thinking of say around 4-5 days (till 25 Dec) then head north to Sapporo. Any ideas/ suggestions as to number of days / itinerary ... any festivals / special things to see/do during winter, etc?? Happy to spend 1-2 more days down South if necessary ...
I'm flying into Fukuoka this September but my flight arrives too late for me to catch the last bus to Beppu (21:42 or 9:42PM). So I was looking for some advice. What do you think is the best way around that? Is there a way for me to get down there that late or a good place to stay in Fukuoka close to the airport with close bus/train access?
Last minute planning and contemplating taking a short trip to Fukuoka for New Years. Putting the tourist spots to the side as well as the red lights of Nakasu, would anyone recommend spending NY eve in Fukuoka?
I apologize for the multiple postings, but my wife and I will be travelling in Kyushu with our two year old daughter. We have friends in Kumamoto and will be spending the bulk of our time there, but would also like to spend 1-2 nights in another location. Nagasaki and Beppu are the two places which occur to me, but we are open to others. Does anyone else have a good idea, we go for both relaxation and sightseeing.
Hi,
I was wondering what would be the best beach to visit for a young people. Any
place where you can get with JR. At the moment me and my friends are staying in
Kyushu, Karatsu and it doesn`t seem like a right place for us.
thank you for a reply
Dani
Then move on hiroshima...
Just wondering. Is Fukuoka worth the stop or should i move on to Naga straight away on the first day?
Also Should I stop at Aso or Beppu?
I would appreciate it if someone can tell me easiest and quickest way, to get from Hakata Station to Costco. Costco is located in the Torius West Zone in Hisayama, Fukuoka-Ken.
I will be in Kumamoto for 5 days and maybe base myself in Fukuoka for two days. Hence, just wondering whether Fukuoka is a good base for travels out to Beppu, Nagasaki, etc? As I am on a budget, any travel plan/card/pass would you recommend and which are the must go places in the Kyushu region?
I currently work in S. Korea, and am going this weekend to Fukuoka to get my visa processed. A few questions for you knowledgeable Japanese travellers, or those who have been to Japan!
Could someone please help me out with language basics? Where is the best place online to find a translator or list for common courtesy phrases (hello, good bye, thank you, please, etc.)?
Also, does anyone know if Saturday is considered a working day for public offices? I'm going on Friday, and I'm worried that I won't get there in time to process my visa in one day. The Korean consulate will have my passport, so I won't be able to leave until I get it back!!!
Finally, what is the best way to get around Fukuoka: bus, subway or cab? And what were some of your favorite things to see?
I'm planning a trip to Japan and would like some suggestion. I love Honda cars and enjoy modifting and racing them. What section of Japan should I visit. I'm interested in shopping for parts and viewing races.
