Negombo Villa Rental
Posted: Tue August 25, 2009 04:23 PM UTC
I hope to visit SL in January 2010 and am considering renting a villa for 2/3 weeks. I am tired of paying supplements in hotels and the idea of having my own house and eating whenever I want, appeals to me. Any info much appreciated. Also, does anybody have experience of the Business Class on Sri lankan Air from Heathrow to Colombo ? It's my first visit so I like to plan well in advance.

Hi, we are planning a six week trip to sri lanka with our 22 month old son. does anyone know of any great child friendly places (on a budget) or if it is possible to buy disposable nappies anywhere?
We're going to have a few days in Negombo, then head up to Kandy and the hill country and then head down to the south coast.

Cheers!

Negombo Transfer from the airport during night
Posted: Sun December 16, 2007 11:13 AM UTC
I'll be arriving at 4:30 in the morning.
How much would cost a transport from airport to Negombo? Is it possible to get public transport at that time? Is it good idea to use bus when having big baggage (those that you don't want on the knees)?

Negombo beaches near negombo and tulip of ceylon resort
Posted: Thu October 4, 2007 03:40 PM UTC
I am staying in Negombo for 2 weeks from 29th February '08 and wondered if anyone could recommend a picturesque/unspoilt beach not too far from Negombo, ideally not further than an hours drive away.

Also has anyone stayed at 'The Tulip of Ceylon, near Mawanella? I'm hoping to stay there for a couple of nights during my stay in Sri Lanka and wondered if anyone had any experience of the resort or the nearby area.

Thanks

Negombo CHEAP SOUVENIRS IN NEGOMBO
Posted: Mon September 17, 2007 02:25 PM UTC
Hello,
I will be flying to Delhi with Sri Lanka airlines, so I will hv a 5 hours transit at Colombo airport. I understand that the time is not sufficient to go to the city, and I was advised to visit Negombo. Since I'm on a budget, can anyone tell me where can I find cheap souvenirs such as tees or magnets with "Sri Lanka" written on it and where to hv a nice inexpensive seafood lunch ? Please advise me on the cost too. Thanks.

Negombo negombo ice bear and day trips
Posted: Fri March 23, 2007 05:17 PM UTC
Hi
Has anyone stayed at or does anyone have reliable info about the ice bear guest house - especially their s/c/ apartments? we're not looking for luxury - but just good / clean / easy would be great!
Also, does anyone have any suggestions for manageable day trips from negombo? we'll be there with 2 young (4 & 2) children so don't want to be driving for hours.
Any useful info for first time visitors also appreciated!
Thanks ever so much,
Ros Jeal

We stayed in Negombo, Sri Lanka about 3 years ago. We took a 4 day trip around the island on a small coach. Our tour guides name was Rodney Avery. We forget the name of the tour company but would very much like to get in touch with Rodney Avery. Does anyone know of him? Any info would be great, as he was such a lovely person

Negombo What to do in Negombo?
Posted: Tue February 10, 2004 06:27 AM UTC
I will have a long lay over in Negombo. I've been to Negombo quite few times, but never had a great look of the town. Is there a few hours tour? Otherwise, is there anything to do? I will be staying somewhere on Lewis Place, and I wasn't so impressed with small number of shops there...

Any ideas?

Negombo Ranweli holiday village + weather?
Posted: Sun August 10, 2003 06:56 PM UTC
Any info on the Ranweli holiday village would be good as we're staying there in 2 weeks time. Do they accept credit cards? Also what's the best way to get into Negombo and Colombo from there?
Finally, starting to panic about the weather - what's it likely to be like end of Aug/beginning Sept?

Thanks
