I am travelling to Tangalle in August and wondered if any of the turtles will be around at that time of year.
I am aware of the 'sanctuaries' but would love to see them naturally if we can. |

Can anyone give specific information about a fishing village west of Tangalla. It lies at the 192 K from Colombo marker, (3 K west of Tangalla) with a big Bodi tree and a Bhudda shrine beside the main road to Tangalla. There is a small horseshoe shaped bay used by the fishing village. It is next to the Eva Hotel.
Also, Tangalla generally. I have heard that the Naval base was not as badly hit as Trincomalee, but how is the town and the people? |
