Torino An afternoon in Torino
Posted: Mon April 21, 2008 10:06 AM UTC
Dear VT friends,
I am going to spend a afternoon in Torino on 1 May waiting Arturo Brachetti's evening performance at Teatro Alfieri. I wonder about a car park that allow us to be close to the theatre. What places does you suggest to see in this few hours? and what about restaurants nearby?
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
Happy travels,

Torino Is it too early to book train for January 8th
Posted: Mon November 5, 2007 01:48 AM UTC
Hi

I have been trying to work out the train times for our holiday and it seems there is no train for that time. I was planning on going from Turin to Borgosesia on the 8th January. The train runs now but when i put in the 8th there says there is no train. Is it too early or is there really no train?

If not does anyone know how I can get there?

Thanks

Torino question about the cemetery in superga
Posted: Wed July 18, 2007 06:58 PM UTC
I recently found out that a friend of mine died in Torino Italy and that he is buried there. His sister could not remember the name of the church cemetery but said it was neat where the football team was "buried". Could you tell me if there are other graves in this cemetery or is it strictly a tourist attraction now? thank you for any info.

Thank you all for your response as we are planning to be in that area in August and I don,t want my wife to be afraid of walking in cities and driving from town to town. Many thanks for your words of encouragement as we have never had trouble in Italy and have walked and driven all over never worrying about safety. In any event thanks for the info--Gene

Torino Villa Scott
Posted: Thu March 22, 2007 03:59 AM UTC
Villa Scott is the big yellow house at Corso Lanza 57. It was in Profondo Rosso. It has one of those yellow signs in front of it with the building's name and the name of the architect (these signs are in front of many "important" buildings in Torino). Do you know if people currently live in Villa Scott? Does anyone have any information about the interior? Do you think it would be possible to schedule a tour of the interior? How?

THANKS! :)

Torino Ristoranti in zona lingotto
Posted: Tue November 21, 2006 02:23 PM UTC

Molte grazie.

Torino Different Torino questions
Posted: Sat October 28, 2006 11:21 PM UTC
Hey there, my wife and I will be travelling to Torino to visit family this christmas. First question: I have been thinking about buying some music for my family and maybe also my wife (unless I decide to buy something else). Anyone know of a great place to shop for music in Turin? Are there any Ricordis there, maybe another good place? While I'm at it we might just check out a mall, if there is one? Anyone?

Torino White Christmas in Torino
Posted: Thu October 19, 2006 05:00 AM UTC
My friend and I will be in Torino around x-mas. We are hoping to see the x-mas lights in the city, and maybe even ski for a day.

Where is a good place to stay? Most youth hostels have kitchens, and since it is x-mas(and maybe everything is closed? Is it?), we were planning to cook. A budget(I'm a student!) place with a communal kitchen would be good.

Thank you.
