| Banaue | Manila - Banaue 3days/2night tour Posted: Sat August 16, 2008 07:19 AM UTC
Hi,
My wife and I are planning to travel from Manila to Banaue in October. We are planning for a 3days/2night stay. My ideal itin. Would like to be: Before Day 1. Take the 9 hour Bus from Manila to Banaue. Day 1. Arrive Banaue around 7AM. Check in hotel and rest until lunch time. Grab lunch. Sightseeing Banaue such as Rice Terrace Viewpoints, perhaps an afternoon hike. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner. Day 2. Wake up early morning and travel to Sagada via Bontoc. Visit Ancient burial caves, hanging coffins, Bontoc Musuem, and other suggested attractions from you. Either return to Banaue from Bontoc or spend the night in Bontoc. I am still trying to figure out the commute back to Banaue because it seems like there's limited transportation going back. So I was thinking if we should just stay in Bontoc. Day 3. Leave Banaue or Bontoc for Manila. Question: 1. Is this a workable itin.? 2. Do you know any guided tour in Banaue that could be hired for 2 days and take me to my requested attractions? If you do, how much? Any comments and suggestions is appreciated. |

| Banaue | Clark/Manila to Banaue Posted: Mon June 23, 2008 04:57 AM UTC
Hello
I am visiting the phillipines in August, and would really love to see the rice terraces, however i am finding it hard to find information on a few things. Am arriving by Tiger airways around 12.55pm on August 6. 1. Is there a shuttle service that is catered to this arrival time? (I only found info that Air Asia coordinates the time of the shuttles to their flights, but i didnt find any information about Tiger) 2. Is it advisable to do a self drive from Clark airport to Banaue? If so, in general do you find automatic cars in the car rentals? Any ideas on what the approx cost per day would be? 3. Is the weather in August good to go up to Banaue? Any help is really appreciated. |

(i won't forget the malawach dish, and the place where I had it. It costs P80 and we were a bit wary about ordering such strange food but its great. I haven't eaten all that tomatoes in one sitting. The owner said they once had guests from Israel and they taught her how to make?

| Banaue | Driving to Banaue Posted: Mon April 2, 2007 06:54 PM UTC
Can anyone give exact directions to take if one plans to drive to Banaue from Manila? I've been told that to take the North Luzon Expressway and exit Sta. Rita, Bulacan and just follow the highway through...
Also, any tips as to what time to leave etc., and things to do would be appreciated. Am planning an overnight in Banaue, then leave for Sagada (what route to take?) for 2 nights, then back to Banaue for another 2 nights... Thank you! |

| Banaue | Trip to Banaue & Sagada Posted: Thu January 25, 2007 01:20 PM UTC
Hi everyone!
First timer here in VT and first timer to travel to Banaue & Sagada. Need your help please.. I’ve been reading a few from everyone and they are very helpful.. I guess it’s better to have more info than less or nothing at all. 1) Is April a good time to visit Banaue? We are planning to go there the last week of April or can we still catch the green fields during the month of May? 2) Regarding transportation we’d like to go to Banaue first and stay overnite.  What’s the best transportation to take if I’m coming from Pangasinan (Urdaneta to be exact) to Banaue.. I’ve noticed that there’s a trip going to Banaue via Autobus but this is bound from Manila. Is there a Autobus terminal in Pangasinan, we’d like to catch this so we’ll be able to travel overnight.  Anyway, if it’s not possible, what’s the best transportation to get to Banaue from Urdaneta? 3) we’re planning to go to Bangaan once we get to Banaue, how long the travel to get there and how much roughly would it cost if we take a tricyle or is it jeepney? 4) is there a place we can stay in Bangaan if we decided to sleep there overnight and how much roughly the cost instead of Banaue? 5) From Banaue we’re heading to Sagada, what’s the best time to catch a jeepney to get there early and how long will be the travel and oh of course how much roughly? 6) When going back to Pangasinan, we’d like to take the route to Baguio, which bus is the best way to take and what’s the earliest time we can board? Anyway, overall can you please suggest how much roughly should we expect to spend (6 people) from transportation & accommodation? Thank you very much for your help! Very much appreciated. |

Hello,
has anyone of you done the trip Vigan-Banaue already? We plan to go with our own car and I was wondering if you have to pass by Baguio, or if there is another (shorter?) way? In any case, how long does the trip take? Looking forward to your comments! Thanks! |

hi everyone. hope you can help me.
are there inns/pensions in banaue and sagada with low-budget room rates. preferably lower than 500/night for 2. can u give me contact numbers? also, can anyone give estimates as to how much sight seeings cost. (fares, guides (if needed), permits, entrance fees.. ) for both banaue and sagada. and also directions as how to get there. we plan to DIY all tours if possible. we will stay in banaue for 2 days to see the famous rice terraces and visit batad (for the falls and rice terraces) then head to sagada for another 2days. or will it be better if we stay in batad then head to sagada? any suggestions will be highly appreciated.. many thanks. |
