Boracay Island La Carmela
Posted: Mon April 28, 2008 10:46 AM UTC
I have booked a room at La Carmela for the long weekend in June. I was tempted by the really low rates and the beachfront location so I booked the room right away... without surfing for reviews! Much to my dismay most reviews were terrible! - but some said twas okay though. Is La Carmela really that bad?

If so I am planning to transfer to Escondido - a safer bet since I have enjoyed my stay there before, though its quite a walk to the beach and much more pricey. I booked through a travel agent so my choices are really limited.

I need your feedback please! Thanks!

Posted: Mon April 28, 2008 03:35 AM UTC
hi everyone!

i just needed all your opinion between Frendz resort and TUrtle inn...

Frendz Resort...
located between stations 1 and 2
nipa hut style accommodation
closest to the finest sands of station 1
closest to all the restaurants and bars

Turtle Inn
I love the bed....
Room is big, very nice interiors (as seen in pictures)
downside: it's in station 3

has anyone stayed at TUrtle Inn/Frendz? How's it?

Boracay Island BOracay Invasion
Posted: Fri April 18, 2008 09:57 AM UTC
Im so happy to be here in Panoly. The people are very warm and I'm having a great time exploring Boracay and the beauty of its sand. I have a regular treat of sunset and warm moist air. I'm loving the sun and the local folks who smile so sincerely.
I will come again in December.

Why are there so many negative write-ups on this resort?
I find the stay worth my money and nothing has made it so far disappointing.
The rocky road way up to the resort isn't that bad and some vacation goers are just too demanding failing to appreciate the unique treat of the resort's exclusivity.

I will be leaving tomorrow.
Thank you Philippines.

Boracay Island Water Activities Contacts
Posted: Thu April 10, 2008 04:10 AM UTC
Ei guys, please post the contacts of those who offers water activities like Sunset Cruise, island hopping, ATV, Parasailing, etc. Especially those who give the most reasonable price especially this peak season so we can reserve it and be able to budget our time instead of "haggling" when we are Bora. Thanks in advance.

Boracay Island Boracay Hotel search for NYE
Posted: Mon April 7, 2008 03:39 PM UTC
Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm looking for a hotel with the criteria's below for a 5 night stay at the end of the year over the New Year's.

1. Beach front on White Beach
2. Budget not more than US$30 per person @ night (can be twin, triple or quad share)
3. 3 star above, must include A/C and hot/cold water
4. Enough rooms to accommodate a group of up to 20 people

I was told by a few hotels already that they are fully booked during that period and some hotels prefer not to take in big groups. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Posted: Sun April 6, 2008 11:15 PM UTC
Hi. I recall passing by a small hotel with a tree house way past boat station 3 towards the southern end of the road. i always thought it would be cool to watch the sunset from there. problem is i cant recall the name of the place and would want to make a reservation for late april. can anyone please tell me the name. of course if you would have their contact address, it would be super. thanks and have a great day.

ps. i did a google but what i'm getting is balinghai tree house but their website says they are on the northern end of the island. that would be after boat station 1, wouldn't it?

Boracay Island Kalibo vs Caticlan
Posted: Sun March 30, 2008 10:36 PM UTC
Hi, I am trying to decide whether I will use Caticlan or Kalibo airport

Right now on my travel dates the fares are
PHP 4215 roundtrip on Cebu to Caticlan
PHP 3666 roundtrip on PAL to Kalibo

My issue is not as much the few pesos saved as the fact that Cebu only has a 10kg luggage limit on their Caticlan flights (as do Asian/SEA), does anyone know how strict they are?

What is the cost of a transfer from Kalibo to Caticlan Port? (all other costs equal). I have lots of time, is the bus drive scenic enough to enjoy for an hour?

Boracay Island Nigi Nigi Toos
Posted: Sat March 22, 2008 01:26 PM UTC
Well finally managed to find a decent sized two bedroom apartment for our tribe of 7. We have booked Nigi Nigi Toos for a week commencing 5 April. I can see where abouts it is but can not find it on any map of Boracay. Does anyone know which resorts it is next too? that will help me get a location. Although it is booked now if anyone has any experience of this hotel I would be interested to hear. Looking forward to some serious beach hugging.
