| Volterra | Getting to Volterra from Florence Posted: Tue May 22, 2007 05:59 PM UTC
I am traveling to Florence in June and want to visit Volterra and San Gimignano. It seems that it is not that easy to get to Volterra by public transportation and that it takes a long time. The bus site is in Italian and I am having trouble with it. I don't want to sit on the bus all day with just a little time in Volterra.
Would I be better of renting a car for a day and seeing both Volterra and San Gimignano that day? I would want to spend as much time as possible in each place, but especially in Volterra. Thanks |

Has anyone rented a Vespa in Volterra? We're staying at villa in between Volterra and San Gimignano for a week and would like to have some cheap transportation between the 2 towns. Any ideas on cost or where to rent? Do the dirt roads permit scooters? Thanks!
