i want to visit davao one of this days (no concrete plans as of the moment). i just wanna know if i can go to davao and to dakak resort (dapitan city). i want to go to 2 places to have cheaper airfare, hehehe

We will GO to DAvao on Dec 9-11. Our 1night stay in Pearl Farm doesnt include LAnd Transpo from Airport to Pier, and pier to the resort. They said we have to pay 200/person from airport to pier and 500/person from pier to the resort. Is it normal?? Is it not too expensive. Is there any way we can pay less to go to the PEarl Farm???

Can we not take public transpo from airport to the Pier. What Pier and where should we go??

What about the Schedule of the boat to go to Pearl Farm. IS it only once in the morning and once in the afternoon???

Do you have any infors about 1 night stay in PF(with dinner) that is cheaper than 95dollar?? Their website gives 95 without transpo pick up and dinner only brkfst.. Do you know anything cheaper than this????

Also, i looked at the crocodile park website about water rafting. How can we get other people to go w/ us because we are only two.

Could you also recommend us some cheap hotel in the city that will only cost 800-100 since we are only going to stay there for 1 night..

I’ve got some questions about Pearl Farm. Would anyone give me some help?

1. How can I get the boat schedule to and from Pearl Farm? I've checked out the website of Asiatraval but didn't get the needed info.

2. I'm booked PF for 3 nights (29th - 31st July) and have paid a deposit, but I don’t wanna stay all the way there. I would like to visit the eagles and the Eden Park during daytime. Would that be a bit troublesome?

3. Apart from the boat/ ferry run by the farm, would there be other options? How long is the boat ride? 45 mins?

We are visiting Davao this June (3 days and 2 nights) and I have 2 options in mind. I need help before I make final arrangements.

1- Book at Pearl Farm. Leave the resort in the morning to go to other places like crocodile farm, eden park, philippine eagle, malagos garden, etc. and return back in the afternoon. Is this possible? Is the boat ride readily available? Shall we have to pay for the boat ride everytime we leave the resort?

2- Book at a hotel in the downtown area then just take a day-tour at Pear Farm?

Which do you think is a better choice? Thanks in advance for your feedbacks.

My friends and I will be in davao first week of March (8-10). I need some suggestions since I'm not really familiar with the place.

Which is better to stay at in terms of safety and cleanliness? Davao Imperial Hotel or Sampaguita Inn?

On march 8, we'll be going in samal and stay at punta del sol. scuba diving will be on the 9th in the morning and go on beach hopping the whole afternoon. Probably, going to Paradise.

On march 10, we'll be going back in downtowm davao early in the morning and check in. Then, visit, Crocodile farm, Gap, Eden.

Do you have any other suggestions on where else we can go? how about cheap buffet resto's?

Any information will be much appreciated..

Is transportation available from Pearl Farm to Paradise island? You see, the boat schedules from Pearl Farm to Davao Marina are limited. I have a 5J flight to Manila at 1440. If I take the 1300 boat schedule I will not make it on time. If I take the 1000 schedule it will be too early. I like to stay at the resort longer. If it's possible, I will check-out around 12 noon then go to Paradise Island. From there, I will ride a boat to Sasa wharf. The question is, Are there any public motor vehicles from Pearl Farm to Paradise island? How long and how much will it take? Also, what are the schedules of boat transfers from Paradise island to Sasa wharf? Thanks.

Can anyone tell me how is the price of food in Pearl Farm. Can we go there just to have lunch/dinner and tour around.

How do you travel from Manila to Davao by land? I know you say use the Pan-Philippine Highway but exactly how? I want to drive by the way so I can somewhat tour North to South. If you can also, can you give details on who to contact for me to know how to get there by land?

does anyone know if there are plays or live dramas may be at a university or private theater? I guess it would also be nice to know if they were in English or Visayan.

im planning to visit davao again but as budget tourist this time.
do u know any transient homes/rm/ pad, apartelle, pensionne house, guest house, travel/tourist inns, or bed & breakfast that is decent, clean, & low priced/ budget -friendly preferrably within the city (matina, area near malls, downtown area, marfori, dna vicenta; near addu.... ?

is there a place cheaper than P700/day in the city?

here’s the tentative itinerary:
day 1 - airport to pearl farm (ON or daytour?)
day 2 - check-in at crown regency or apo? then malagos, phil.eagle, praque shrine, aldevinco, etc
day 3 - eden then airport

would you recommend getting a packaged tour for the day 2 and 3 or will they have an easy time getting around, will it be cheaper or more expensive that way?
the ON stay at pearl farm is around 8k, is it worth it or would an island hopping with day tour be more enjoyable

am not sure of the distance of these places from the city but is the itinerary feasible
if they cut on the pearl farm budget, they may extend another day and enjoy more sites at a relaxed pace. it is their first time in mindanao. what would you recommend?

Hi, I'll be working with an NGO in Toril, Davao City for three weeks and am now looking for accommodation. I only realized yesterday that Toril is actually a suburb of Davao and seems quite far out on the map. Can anybody tell me how easy it is to get to Toril from the City Center, and which means of transportation are best?

It will be my first time in Davao (Apr 2)and my flight will arrive at 630 am. My sister and I will stay only for the day as we plan to hop on to butuan via Bachelor Express early next day. I'd like suggestions where to go for the limited time....just within the city perhaps and real good food places and shopping/souvenir please like authentic malongs.

Suggestions also of a cheap, decent inn and nicely located within the city to stay for the night will be appreciated. Anyone knows the website of Bachelor express for their A/C buses to butuan? Will be thankful if you can also direct me to how I can access their bus schedules.

I need some information about one hotel in Davao. The hotel is call Rodaway Inn (J.P. Laurel Ave.). Wife and I are planning a long-delayed honeymoon to Pearl Farm. Please help advise on a couple of points:
1) Is Dec a good time to visit Pearl Farm, that is, are the tides favorable (I forgot what the monsoon tides are called that bring trash into Kalibo - Amihan?)
2) What is the ferry schedule from Davao port to PF? Trying to time our flights with it.
3) Are there enough activities to fill 4D/3D? Or are we better off doing 3D/2N and checking out the city for 1 day (have not toured Davao previously).
4) What is the difference between the Samal House and Mandaya House in terms of amenities and location (e.g do they both have access to the same strip of beachfront, or different).

My hubby will have a seminar to be held in ateneo de davao this 3rd week of october 2006, he will be coming from Mnila to davao intrntl airport. it will be a 3 nights stay. Can you suggest to us, cheap inns or room since the institution who sponsored him for the seminar only gave him a few bucks for his accomodation expenses. He is not choosy, only he takes into consideration the distance of the place where he can stay from ateneo.Thanks in advance!
