Kagawa-ken camping?

hi there,
i am planning to go to shikoku next spring (march/april) for about 1 week or more. although we don't want to do the 88 temples circuit. basically our idea is to be as much in the nature as possible (because on our entire trip, we will be in cities enough)plus i think in shikoku the nature must be especially beautiful. anyway. we definatly want to see iya valley and climb on this tsurugi san mountain. is it possible to go kayaking there somewhere? which temple is especially beautiful? might be a weird question, but have you ever met a monk from a temple who is from Switzerland? Because we're from switzerland and once on tv they showed a monk who is from switzerland and went there to be a monk... so in case you maybe met him... (you never know the world is quite small sometimes). well yeah and also maybe you know some campgrounds? and what would be the best way to travel around? probably by bike, eh?
i thank you so much for your help!
