I am arriving in Corsica at Ajaccio in June. My arrival day is a Sunday and I need to get to either end of the GR20 Calenzana or conca. It will be too late to catch the train to Calvi. Any suggestions??

I will be in Ajaccio for only one day and I am traveling with my grown daughters. I would appreciate any suggestions on one or two memorable things to do while I'm there.

Is it easy to walk from the port to the town and places of interest.

We are stopping at Ajaccio in Corsica as part of a cruise and wondered if anyone can advise websites to have a look at, trips to do etc as I am struggling finding info on the net

We’ll be in Ajaccio for one day later this month and would be very grateful if anyone has ideas how to spend the day.

This will be our first time in Ajaccio; we like architecture, museums, and generally just walking around trying to ‘feel’ the city. Oh yes, we also like sitting (hopefully) in the sun having a coffee or lunch!

I have found your old topics on Ajaccio very usefull.
Two weeks from now I will need a cheap place to spend 1 night after arrival to Ajjacio airport late in the evening.

Are the hostel phone numbers still valid? May be you could help me with the e-mails of the owners of these places?

Second question: how far is the sity form the Ajaccio Airport, and where is the bus stop to go to Carges, near the airport or at the city center?

And one more question: Actually I have to go to Cargese. May be it will be cheaper to get a taxi from Ajaccio to Cargese then spending a night at Ajaccio and then going to Cargese on the next morning bus?

How often do ferries leave Nice for Ajaccio in August? Any idea of days and times? (for 2005)

I need to spend one night as cheap as possible in Ajaccio, as my plane and train schedules don't match up!

Can anyone recommend a good hostel-type place, or somewhere basic, preferably near the train station?
