Makati inns/hostels or the like for 3-4k and below
Posted: Wed June 11, 2008 02:05 PM UTC
we need to find a place around jupiter, mkt ave, ayala or nearby places that costs 3k and below per nigh and can sneak in many people in without getting caught. the reason for this is because we'll be going clubbing at night and be coming back early in the morning, and we can't go to our respective homes because we'll get grounded. so our best bet is to stay we'll go somewhere for an overnight. we'll be going to Embassy bar so we need a place near there.

Makati 3 star hotel near Dusit Thani Hotel at Makati
Posted: Wed May 14, 2008 06:10 PM UTC
I will be in Phillippines from around 26th May till 02 June and will need to be staying near Dusit Thani Manila Hotel. I believe that this is located right in the heart of Makati, right ? Could anyone please advise me which would be a hotel (3 stars ok) I should stay so that I could reach Dusit Thani within a 15 minutes walk ?

On the other hand, could I stay a bit further away from Makati and spend some $ on taxi fares to Dusit Thani ? Staying bit further from Makati would mean cheaper hotel rates but what is the hotel rate for 3 star hotels in Makati ? I do not need great hotel, just a clean comfortable room will do.

Alternatively, can I reach Dusit Thani via any other transport besides taxi if I were to stay away from Makati ?

Any advises and recommendation please ?
Thanks

A family friend of ours will be going to Manila and will be needing a driver, as the car, his good friend is loaning it, if luck is with him and some other friend finds him a driver, can you tell us about how much in pesos do they get paid? These people that are visiting are Filipinos but raised in Australia, and are in tight budget, and hopefully they will not have to drive in the madness of trafic in Manila or in Makati. We are open to good smart suggestions. Salamat Po!

Makati Help ..... Hotel near makati shopping area
Posted: Thu February 28, 2008 09:45 PM UTC
Hi,

Im looking for a hotel to stay in makati which is near the shopping area, within my budget somewere between 2,500 - 3,500 a night.

there are lots of travel agency who has discounted rates around glorietta but the rate is valid only until march, and we are going in May the rate is back to more than 6,000.

By the way, I saw hotels between my budget but I read alot of review that they are in the red light district of makati. If we booked in that area, is it close by to walk or do we need to taxi to take us the malls like glorietta.

Can anyone suggest of a clean and decent hotel near the shopping area please.
Badly need any help.
Thanks so much.

Makati Affordable place to stay in Makati.
Posted: Sun January 27, 2008 12:05 AM UTC
Hi,

Is it possible for 2 people to live comfortably in Makati for 45K per month for a few months to 1 year? We have almost 100K per month available but we'd like to save it. Any advice where to stay? I suppose we'll need a place at about 25K at most. Could we find one? How much are food expenses and other expenses in the area?

Makati Family accomodation
Posted: Tue November 27, 2007 11:31 PM UTC
Middle of January, for 1 week we will be in Manila. I don't really know what's the difference between Manila and Makati. Can anyone advise us where we could find convenient accomodation, resonably cheap (30-60USD/night). We are 4 adult and a 1yo child. I guess we look for something spacious enough with cooking facilities. Otherwise 2 rooms, but cheap so we can fit in the buget.
Thanks in advance for any hints.

Makati Need help finding lodging in Makati
Posted: Sat October 20, 2007 04:26 AM UTC
Hi everyone,

My friends and I are looking to rent an affordable condo/apartment unit that can accommodate 3 people maybe 4 (1 or 2 bedroom, 3 or 4 beds?), fully furnished, aircon, cable TV, broadband internet, maybe a balcony but not important, walking distance to either Greenbelt or Rockwell, swimming pool, exercise gym, full kitchen/cooking facilities, hot & cold showers, & is secure. We'll be staying there from February 13th to March 1st. I know it's a lot to take in but I'll be there for work as well as pleasure, so there are a few creature comforts that I'd like to stick with.

I've looking all over the internet to find a few but they'd be located in QC or the like. To get an idea of us; our age range is from 28-38 years old - so there shouldn't be any fear of immature kids disrespecting anyone's homes. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Makati How good is Nightclubbing/Nightlife in Makati??
Posted: Wed August 15, 2007 08:13 PM UTC
Hi,

I currently live in the UK, and am in need of a little change, because of my line of work (I can work anywhere I want) ...I'm currently considering moving to Manila/Makati for a year, to a certain extent because my mother is Filipino so it would be quite cool for a year or so.

Anyway, what I NEED to know is how good the nightlife/clubs are in Makati??

And which are currently the best/coolest ones?

Thanks for your help,

Christian
