based on the forum discussions, i think playa blanca is a good resort to stay at. i'm yet to give them a call this week. now, i need help on tour packages. does anyone know packages for the cheapest day (countryside: chocolate hills, tarsier, loboc river) and sea (dolphin watching) tours? how much will the total cost be? what does it include?

any help will be greatly appreciated! travel date is august 31-september 2.

My friends and I are planning to go to bohol on october 21-23. We're on a tight budget and we're trying to look for a resort or house that could accomodate 20 people. Sana lower than 1k per person for 3 days 2 nyts na. ok din sana kung beach front or walking distance lng. Sana may marecommend kau. =) Hope to hear from you guys soon. And last question, ok ba sa alona beach sa october?

I am working abroad and planning to go to Bohol with my family on Jan-11-14 next year when I take my vacation leave. Can anyone give me suggestions on where to stay? I've checked Bohol Beach Club and the place is great but is quite expensive so I want to know if my money would be really worth in staying there. Otherwise, can anyone suggest other places to stay? A really impulsive trip, my friends and I just felt like going to Panglao (4 in all). We don't really have a plan yet so we NEED help. We're leaving from cebu later at 6am on ocean jet and we're goin back the same day at 5.30pm. What can you suggest? Thanks.
Is it still possible to visit the other spots like choco hills, loboc river, bee farm, etc. with that timeframe? Hope someone responds asap!

My family are coming to Panglao next March 2008 ... 2 adults & 2 kids.
We have looked at most of the resorts on Panglao, and the Alona Kew resort looks quite nice ... Has anyone been there & if yes, what is it like?
We are looking at beachfront accommodation ... Is this near the pool/restaurant etc.?
What about mosquitoes & sea urchins? Is the beach ok for kids?

My husband and I are going to Bohol on May 18. Please furnish us details with regards to accomodation, foods and tours.

1. Any cheaper place to stay along alona beach ranging from 500-1000/night. (good for 2)
2. Cheap Rates and contacts for car rental for 10-hour countryside tour. (preferably around 1000-1500 since we're only 2)
3. dolphin show, island hopping and snorkling activities that could cost us around 1000-1500.

Here are our questions:

1. Are there accomodations in Tabilaran around 1000 or less?
2. What are the entrance fees for our itinerary?
3. How much will be the rent for vans for 2 days?
4. How much will cost us for the whale watching?

Hey guys! I really need help. My friend and I are planning to go to Bohol this coming April 5-8, 2007 and so far, the only place within our budget that's available is Trudi's Place along Alona Beach. Has anyone heard of this place or even stayed in it? Any reviews as well as pictures of the place, especially the rooms and the bathrooms, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Two of us are traveling to Bohol and Panglao late July to early August taking a flight from Manila arriving in Tagbilaran around 830am. From there we plan to hire a van w/c i heard costs 1800php to do the countryside tour eg tarsiers, chocolate hills, loboc cruise before dropping us off in Panglao. What do you think of this plan?

We also plan to tour Panglao using a motorcycle. Any idea on how much rental is?

I'm planning on visiting Panglao Island after Christmas 2006
(maybe Dec.26-29) , is this a peak season and do I need to do advance booking and payment?
My planned budget is from 1K to 2K only, no a.c. necessary but a good view of the beach and 2 single beds are a must.

The three resorts I have researched from VT are;
1. Bohol Divers Resort - deluxe room 1K (no ac)
2. Playa Blanca - "038 5029015. Ask for Tita Baby". < info from ino_hsb.
3. Isis Bungalow - 38$US room (from their website)
4. Alona Kew - Bungalow Cottage for 2 is P2,035 (rates till Nov 06)

Is there any other resort that can offer better accomodations within my budget.

Are beach beds + umbrella for hire? - i'm expecting this because budget accom. doesn't usually provide these features.

Which is the best area to swim? - I wont have enough time to get PADI certified to dive but I love to swim laps as long as the waters are calm. I gather that I should be wary of sea urchins, is this a common occurence in the swimming areas.
Is there a snorkeling trip in this island - if I can't dive then I might snorkel.

Countryside Tour:
I would also like to do a countryside tour in Bohol on the next day at Panglao.
That means either I will either have to join a group leaving Panglao or contact someone and show me the sights personally. Whats the deal with the motorbike tour? do you ride at the back of the motorbike or is it a tricycle? I might consider hiring a car instead as its probably better when shooting pictures or video.

Also, I might be traveling alone during my entire stay at Panglao as I can't be really sure about my companion yet, would it be boring to do this? (though I'm used to being alone but not going to resorts).

Will be staying at the BBC during November and have the following questions:

1. How do I get to Alona Beach from the BBC? I want to get out of the resort for dinner and massage on the beach.

2. How do I get to Tagbilaran from BBC and back at night? I've heard the hotel van is more expensive than the normal cab and they do not allow other vehicles into their premises. For the return journey, can I just call a cab/tricycle from Tagbilaran to go back to the resort? How much do they cost.

3. Is shampoo/soap available from the resort?

Hey peeps, i'm tasked to organize a group tour on 02-04dec this year and i need all the help i can get. i have already booked our trip to bohol via cebu pacific.

these are the realities: we're on a tight budget.
15 persons, most of them are first timers so i wanna make sure that they will really enjoy it
all pinoys who prefer beachfront and at least near restos.

i need a few recos of less expensive place to stay for 15persons,
what type of accommodation is the most practical(to rent a beach house or book a resort/hotel),

where to get the most practical van rental that would accommodate all of us.

what are the places you reco... aside from choco hills, panglao beach, cindy's cave, hanging bridge and tarsier.
