Marineland and Oceanographic Museum in monaco Posted: Tue February 24, 2009 08:58 PM UTC
Hi,
I have some dilema choosing between to two.
is those places overlap in their experience?
i especially want to entertain my 1.y years old boy,
i afraid Marineland will be to big and overwhelmingfor him...
and on the other hand, i really would like to be in both places, but don't want to get bored if it is the same in some manners.
what do you think?
thanks

where to go on french riviera? Posted: Wed June 11, 2008 01:37 AM UTC
My boyfriend and I are traveling to the French Riviera for a couple of days in beginning of august - i know it's the middle of tourist season :(. But despite that where is a nice place to go that will be somewhat mellow and not as pretentious as Cannes? We are looking to enjoy sights and beaches for a moderate price if possible. Thanks :)

How big/small is Antibes? Posted: Tue June 10, 2008 03:59 AM UTC
I know it has 70,000 or so inhabitants:-).
I live in a town of 100,000 which I think is of decent size..of course not a big city with lots of stuff to do, but it's far from a small village.
When I see pictures or videos of Antibes, it seems to be that Antibes (despite having a similar number of inhabitants) is the size of a small village, though.
But on the other hand, it might be bigger than it looks (and of a decent size, too like 70,000 makes me think), because everybody just films the beach and the old-town?

Antibes - is it a good central location to visit other places???? Posted: Sat February 9, 2008 07:36 AM UTC
Hi all,
I am planning to visit Antibes for 1 week in mid march with my partner, and our 4 month old baby, as it seems to be not as busy as places like Nice, Cannes, etc. Obivously we'd like to visit those places on the odd day here and there, but as we have the little one in tow now, we'd like to be able to "retreat" to somewhere abit quieter. Or if anyone can suggest, another location, abit quieter, but central to all these places? any info would be extremely appreciated! (ps. we will have a car rental for the week)
thanks all.
Lee.

antibes to paris Posted: Tue January 1, 2008 03:28 PM UTC
hi We have a weeks accomodation in Antibes on the French Riviera and would like to do a trip to Paris. Of course we dont want to waste too much money on extra accom as it is already paid for in Antibes. The exchange rate of Euros/ZAR is a bit restrictive. Thought maybe night train and one night acc in Paris. Any suggestions please. We are travelling with our sons aged 22,20 and 15.

Antibes......Is it safe? Posted: Thu December 6, 2007 08:02 PM UTC
I m going to Antibes in May 2008 and it will be the first time in this area alone. I usually go to Greece but have this urge to go to the South Of France again.....I travelled all over the south years ago and missed out on the beautiful scenery because I was too busy partying! Now I am older and wiser (and a lot more sober!) and have always loved France.

Bikes in Antibes area Posted: Fri January 12, 2007 12:23 AM UTC
We'll be in the area for a week in late spring and would prefer not to rent a car. We'll be staying at Les Jardins d'Ulysee (near Thalazur) which seems to be a bit remote by some standards. How practical would it be to rent bikes to get around town? What about using bikes to visit neighboring places (Cagnes especially)? My partner is in good physical shape (he's a runner) and I am willing but not particularly athletic. Any recommendations?

From Paris to Antibes, and then Antibes to Spain.. by train? Posted: Sun September 3, 2006 04:52 AM UTC
Hi there,
I am wanting to travel down to Antibes, to stay for a week, and then go onto Spain - I'd love to drive, but think it would be better to train or bus (less responsiblity!!).
Does any one have any suggetsions about transtport to/from this area?
Also - do I need to pre-book accomodation here, or is it okay to wing it? (I'll be there from 10th OCtober 06)
Thanks so much,
Tor.

swimming clubs Posted: Sun April 9, 2006 05:10 PM UTC
We are considering buying an appt in Antibes. Would prefer something in centre rather on a complex. This means we won't have access to a swimming pool.
I'm wondering if any of the hotels with pools have leisure clubs which non hotel residents can join.
Any info including rates gratefully received Thank you
