Tagaytay Is there a bus terminal or station in Tagaytay?
Posted: Mon April 28, 2008 05:22 AM UTC
Hello,

I would really appreciate help regarding this.

I have read all possible routes and way to go to Tagaytay, and I am confident my boyfriend and I could make it... on our way going there. But the problem is our way coming back. People say there are busses that passes through Olivares plaza, but my boyfriend’s the experience scared me. Since he isn’t used to commuting, he actually got lost on his way back! And he ended up calling someone to pick him up from somewhere.

He said he was able to get a ride back from Olivares Plaza, but the kind of bus where they crammed everyone in, despite the number of available seats. He said, it was so uncomfortable, it shook so much, and all they while, and they still kept picking up passengers on the way. So he ended up going down somewhere in Dasma in the hopes of getting a better one. This is my apprehension. I don’t want this kind of ride, and I definitely don’t want the hassle of changing buses. I know from the terminals in Manila, we could get a bus where everyone is actually seated and air-conditioned, “matino” buses. I hope we could get the same on our way back to Manila.

Si, is there a bus terminal/station in Tagaytay? Or do we actually have to get our bus from the roadside?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Tagaytay taal volcano from manila
Posted: Thu February 14, 2008 12:15 AM UTC
hi guys, just a couple of questions and a few things to clarify!

I have gathered from people's VT pages that you take a bus from Baclaran area to Tagaytay. From there I am not quite sure how to get to Talisay. VTers have been suggesting to take a trike or jeepney to Talisay, but how and where would I organise this?

Also, I will be leaving the Philippines through Clark Airport. VTers have been saying to go to the Victory Bus Terminal in Pasay. But i think this sounds a bit vague because I thought Pasay was a city so to speak and very large. So would taxi driver know where to go from my hotel in Ermita to take me to The Victory Bus terminal in Pasay?

Also, where do these Victory buses drop people off? Would they drop us off at Dau? In which case how often do jeepney's leave from Dau to Clark Airport? Or do the buses drop passengers off closer to the Airport?

Lastly, I read on VT pages that you have to pay travel tax. One person paid 1620 php for travel tax while another person paid 550 php. So apparently it is different for sifferent people, how do they decide how much each person should pay?

Well, i'm leaving for manila in a couple of days, and i'd like to say thanks to VTers for your help. I've asked many questions and you guys have always given really good answers. Hope you can answer my questions for the last time!!

Tagaytay Tagaytay - Enchanted Kingdom trip
Posted: Mon February 11, 2008 12:56 PM UTC
Hi everyone!

Finally, I decided to go to Tagaytay and Enchanted Kingdom for my short Luzon holiday. I will be travelling with 2 other adults and 2 kids (4, 7 yo). Please let me have some tips...

Day 1 - Makati to Enchanted Kingdom and spend the night in Tagaytay.
How far is EK to Tagaytay? Too bad we don't have a car so public transpo is our best bet. How do we go about it? Any advice on reasonable accommodation?

Day 2 - Tagaytay whole day (plus perhaps another day) and after sunset, depart for Makati
Picnic grove and what else? I would like to check out the volcano but I doubt the kids will like it. Any alternatives? What else is there to do in Tagaytay?
Yes, which bus do we take to get back to Makati?

Thanks so much, dear VTers!

Cheers,
michelle

Tagaytay Tagaytay House for Rent
Posted: Thu December 20, 2007 04:59 AM UTC
Hi Guys,

I'm pretty new here. I'm looking for a house that's for rent in tagaytay. Preferrably three to four rooms, with kitchen and semi-furnished, 200+ sqm floor area. Probably a night or two stay around Dec 27-29. Around 15 to 20 pax. Somewhat of a family reunion. I'm kinda pushed for time, so if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx.

Tagaytay Transient houses and places to see in tagaytay
Posted: Sun December 2, 2007 11:05 PM UTC
I know I'm kinda short of time. Planning for a Tagaytay trip on the 8th of Dec. It's ALMOST a spontaneous decision. Well, I'm hoping some of you guys could suggest a good yet cheap place to for me to stay, say for a night or two. Preferably a place where there's a kitchen, not necessarily the whole thing, just a stove and utensils would do fine.

Another thing, can you plese tell me what are places to see there. Honestly, I have the littlest of clues. I haven't been there more than a day so I haven't really been able to go around much in the past. Thanks you guys and I'm really hoping for replies soon..

Thanks in advance mwuah!
