If you are traveling from anywhere close to Charleston, SC to Bermuda, please let me know. I am really wanting to get my hands on a bottle or two of Bermuda Gold Liquor from Somers Distillers (Not the Bermuda Gold from Goslings). Please let me know if you're going. Thanks!

Bermuda sommerset village
Posted: Sat February 2, 2008 03:29 PM UTC
Is this a nice place to stay in bermuda or is it a little boring and too far off the beaten path type of place? We plan on renting a moped but will it still be difficult to get around the island from this point?

We have never used this service nor have we used an all inclusive. IS the MAP worth it on Bermuda? IF so, which are the best resorts that offer it?

Bermuda Travel dates first week in APril 08
Posted: Thu August 16, 2007 03:42 PM UTC
We are planning a trip 4/3/08 - 4/7/08. I checked the weather avg. for then and are fine with the fact that it may be too cool to swim ( we are not really looking for a swimming vacation). THis is our first trip to Bermuda and it seems like there is a lot to do, scooters, shopping, sightseeing, etc. Here are my questions:
1. are most of the "tourist" water activities shut down at this time, booze cruises, rental boats, etc?
2. How crowded are the resorts at this time?
3. is there enought to do on the island for 4 days without swimming?

Thanks

Bermuda Bermuda in July + Looking for Hotel Recommendation
Posted: Wed May 23, 2007 03:47 PM UTC
Hi!

I am planning to visit Bermuda at the end of July. I know it's pretty hot at this time of year. Is it bearable?

Also, I would like to stay somewhere not far from Hamilton (me and my wife like to be close to the city). What relatively inexpensive hotels would you recommend that are within a short taxi ride to Hamilton? I understand that pries in Bermuda are pretty high. I am looking for a 3-4 star hotel near or on the beach that is not outrageously expensive (within $180/night).

Thanks!

Hi,
I am traveling to Bermuda's west end by cruise at the end of July. Since we will only be there for the day, I want to make sure I see/do the very best. Can you please let me in on a locals idea of a must do list? I do not want to get stuck in the tourist traps.

But I don't know when I'm coming home to Boston. Although it isn't rated as high as some other resorts...Groto Bay is where we want to stay. I'ld truly appreciate any and all responses and hope to open this posting into a forum of open discussion that will eventually prepare for my reunion and honeymoon tarvel.

Bermuda Living in Bermuda
Posted: Sun December 17, 2006 01:17 AM UTC
I'm entertaining a job offer on this fine isle, or so I've heard...I've never been there. Does anyone know the pros and cons of Bermuda? Esp. interested in mundane, normal life, things like how one shops for food (are there supermarkets or is it like small European shops???).

Many thanks in advance.

Bermuda The Old Rectory B&B...or other suggestions
Posted: Tue December 5, 2006 11:27 AM UTC
My wife, daughter and I look to be visiting Bermuda in July. I've had a nice response from Muriel at "The Old Rectory" B&B and it sounds interesting. I'm a bit concerned that one room only has a fan, instead of air conditioning. I know av daily temps are about 84 in July, but what about at night?

Does anyone have any great suggestions on b&b or small inns? We'd love to get a "two bedroom" room situation, so that my teenaged daughter can have her own space.

Bermuda WYNDHAM RENOVATIONS AFFECT "THE REEFS"?
Posted: Mon November 27, 2006 07:02 PM UTC
WE ARE LOOKING TO TRAVEL TO BERMUDA MID OCT. 2007 FOR OUR 10TH ANNIVERSARY AND SO FAR OUR FAVORITE RESORT IS THE REEFS. WE WOULD LIKE SOMETHING ROMANTIC ON THE BEACH YET INCLUDE AT LEAST BREAKFAST AND DINNER AT THE RESORT AND WE HAVE FOUND THIS AT THE REEFS BUT WE HAVE READ THEY ARE COMPLETELY RENOVATING THE WYNDHAM WHICH MAY BE RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THE REEFS. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE IT IS IN ADJACENT TO THE REEFS AND HOW FAR APART THEY ARE AND OF COURSE IF THEY THINK THIS WILL IN ANYWAY AFFECT OUR TRIP. IF ANYONE HAS ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS ON WHERE TO STAY WE WOULD LOVE IT!

Bermuda Cameroon entrance requirements
Posted: Mon September 4, 2006 07:08 PM UTC
A new member from Cameroon keeps emailing me and wanting me to get him a letter of introduction so that he and his wife can visit Bermuda. I don't know what he is talking about. Is this just a question of terminology, and he means a visa, or do people from Cameroon actually need a letter of reference for a tourist visit, or is it some kind of scam?
