are there ever weddings on the beach in the arch when the water is low? Just heard every four years the water is low enough that there is a beach there
Hi there, I will be in the Los Cabos region over Day of the dead. (Actually there Oct 30-Nov 2 before moving on to other locations)
I am curious if any of the local towns have anything that goes on...ie highly decorated cemeteries...parades...that sort of thing.
Also, can someone advise on taking pictures at the cemeteries...ie is it looked down upon due to this being a special time or will there be lots of people doing it...
Small towns are fine...I actually would prefer to get out of Cabo itself as I am not there for the clubs...
Thanks
Ed
From several reviews it seems like getting to Lover's Beach is very easy by water taxi from the Marina - how easy is it getting back? Does one arrange a time with the taxi that drops you off, or what?
I will be traveling with my 18-21-and 24 yr. old nieces and my 45-48-51 yr old sisters on our first trip to cabo. We really want this to be a special trip for the 18 year old since its graduation and birthday surprise. We are all girls and like to have a good time. What is the best all-inclusive in cabo???. I've been looking around and getting more confused???? We would like a good price but are willing to pay a little more for the nicest place. Thank you in advance
Hello: We are planning to be in Cabo end of June/early July. I believe the temp will be around high 80s. What is the humidity level around that time? Hot and humid or hot and dry? Thanks
I will be in Cabo San Lucas, the last week of Feb.and I have not booked my Hotel yet! 1st time by myself in Cabo, and wanted to know of any basic Hotels in town that Hotel Staff "wont" discourage you from bringing a guest up to your room, or a Hotel that you can enter your room from the outside? I have heard some stories about the hotel staff not allowing you to have a guest enter/stayover in some of these hotels, is that true? I mean there is a possibility I may meet someone at Cabo Wabo, etc. and ask them over for a nightcap, but I certainly dont want to pick a Hotel that will say no/or discourage a guest from coming/staying over. Do you have any suggestions? My only other thought is getting a Condo. but I have no clue where to look into this. Also, am I better off in this situation not picking a nice hotel/resort like Villa Del Palmar Beach Resort and Spa and instead picking a hotel like a Comfort Inn Los Cabos. Any thing you can offer up as advice before I book a hotel would be greatly appreciated.
My husband and I will be in Cabo in mid-March. We plan on doing some fishing - we are not sure we should book a charter now or wait until we get there.
Is is recommended to reserve a charter now? If so which place would be best?
We won a 5 day, 4 night trip to Cabo San Lucas. My wife and I have never been to Mexico. The travel agent has a budget to work with from the radio station we won the trip from. She is paying for airfare and the resort. The rest is up to us.
She gave us four resorts to choose from: RIU Sante Fe; RIU Palace Cabo; Melia Cabo Real; Royal Solaris
We think we like Riu Palace Cabo and Melia Cabo Real the best of the four. But this is just from reading their websites.
We are looking for advice on which resort to choose. The following is important to us:
All Inclusive - alcohol included
Good, quick shuttle service to the bars and restaurants in Cabo
Don't want to be harassed with Time Share sales pitches
Ocean front, great beaches, great pools for adults
Great buffets and food
Clean, safe rooms
Pulmonias Posted: Sun January 25, 2009 06:57 PM UTC
We will be one day on a cruise and will need transportation from Port to downtown and to the gold zone. How much should we expect to pay on a bus and a taxi, also are there Pulmonias there..How much should we pay. We want to pay a reasonable price but do not want to get ripped off either.
I have never been to Mexico and staying in cabo for 4 nights at the end of feb. Any suggestions on what to do there? will the weather be hot to relax on beach and by pool??
We're not booking a package, so we need to know the best and least expensive way to get from the airport down to Cabo at Terasol condos. I've heard that a regular taxi is too expensive, are there any reliable shuttles that I should know about and reserve in advance?
Avis location Posted: Mon November 10, 2008 06:06 PM UTC
I will be in Cabo San Lucas for a few hours on a cruise ship (royal carribean) stop. I would like to get a avis rental car and drive to cabo san jose. see the town and hopefully a whale sighting or two. when we have stopped in cozumel in the past, the car rental desks are right as you come off the ship. it looks like they tender into the harbor in cabo san lucas.
now the question. I can find several avis locations listed for csl on their website. I cannot find a map of where exactly they are located. I even called avis reservations and they could not help. called a avis csl location and they just transferred me to the international reservations desk.
help. can anyone tell me if it is reasonable to walk from the harbor to the avis desk and location of the nearest avis office??
thanks in advance. would seem simple enough but has proven not to be so.
I am a traveler, not a tourist. My guy and I are all about trying new things & I speak a little bit of spanish and enjoy doing what the locals do, but i am going with a group of slightly close minded people! Lame, but I am looking for an awesome bar/lounge/club to have drinks and get them nice 'n happy! Where do the locals go? What do the locals drink? I really want to experience the town, not just buy a postcard and take a picture! What is a MUST SEE? Is there any spanish phrases I NEED to know... besides, no ice & where's the bathroom... THANKS!
Are there any beaches and pools in Los Cabos (Baja California) where I can go topless?
My husband and I are planning a trip to Baja California & Los Cabos. Are there any beaches and pools where I can go topless?
a group of us about 20 will be coming off the cruise ship Sept 13th and want to go to Puerto Nuevo for a few hours. Need advice on a shuttle for all of us. thanks
I am going to have a free week stay at Villa del palmar in Cabo.
But I am doing some research and I WOULD love to go whale watching. It looks like some of the best whale watching is about 500 to 600 miles away.
I believe doing one of the 3 to 4 night stays at something like www.kuyima.com would actually be one of our highlights!!! If I had all the time and money I wanted I woudln't hesitate on doing something like this.
I am trying to decide the following:
1. Should we just stay in Cabo and try to see some whales closer
2. Go ahead and take a few days to go to one of the places far away
3. If we do decide to make this a priority - what company to use, where to go etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions!!!
Is it worth the trip?
I will be going from Dallas Ft worth -- where should I fly in if we decide to go on one of the whale trips that are far from Cabo. Should we fly in near cabo and then travel to one of the other places, or fly in somewhere near the whale watching stay a few days then fly down etc.
Which tour company/suggestions on whale watching experiences.
If these are too many questions in one post..I can break them up.
My husband and I were thinking about going to Cabo next summer with some friends and we wanted to rent a villa, I was just wondering if anybody has ever been over to the villas and how is the enviroment like? Is there any heavy partying around there or around San Jose? ANY info is appreciated, thank you!
I booked a trip to Cabo in Sept. I have been reading a ton of info on line. Yikes...it can be overwhelming. I guess what I am wondering is..what restaurants can be recommended and which ones should be avoided? Also thinking of doing a snorkeling trip. Is anyone familiar with Pez Gato? Is Santa Maria the best place to go for snorkeling?
Ok, I have a bunch of questions. Do you think we would be happy going to Cabo in Mid August? We really want to go (IN AUGUST!) , but dont want to be miserably hot. We do live in Phoenix so we're used to the heat somewhat. Does it rain in August? What are the chances of having a rained out vacation? Are there enough people there in August to have fun at the clubs....or is it dead? Is the office restaraunt open in Ausgust? Really want to go, just want to make sure we will get all the benefits in August!!!!
My plan is to travel across Baja up to La Paz.
I am planning in doing so by hitching and taking Buses to travel through Baja.
Has anyone done it before?
Cheers
Does anyone have any recommendations regarding a charter for Marlin fishing in December? Also what is the temp/rain like in December? Thank you for any help :)
I have been investigating all inclusive resorts and have it narrowed down to two. Dreams Los Cabos and RIU Palace. Can anyone give any suggestions? Also, we are looking for that beautiful beach with shallow crystal clear quiet water. Do these resorts have that type of beach? But if not, can we find one close by and how easy is it to get to it?
Does anyone know of another all inclusive that they could suggest?
One last question, has anyone booked with orbitz for a trip?...if so....how did it go?
We are a group of 6 in our 30's who are taking our annual vacation in Febuary. We have not booked yet, but have heard that Cabo is great.
We all like to enjoy a few drinks and good meals (but not party like girls gone wild!) and loooove the water. We have recently enjoyed holidays to Hawaii and Cancun - will this compare?
Is the weather okay in Feb? Any hotels close to the action that you suggest? A friend of ours has stayed at Villa Del Arco and said they liked it but would like any other suggestions?
