I will be staying at the Holiday Inn near the Zocalo. Where can I rent a bicycle within walking distance of the hotel....address, directions and phone number would be hnelpful! Also where and what bus will take me to the beach?

What should i expect to pay for meals in the Veracruz area? Will be there three days in early feb 2008?

Hola, My name is Bob. My girlfriend and I are planning a vacation to Veracruz from January to February, 2008. Looking at the information and answers provided here have been very interesting and helpful.

It looks like a beautiful and historic place to stay for a while.

I am planning a trip to Veracruz probably by next year and I would like to know what would be ideal activities to get into while I am there. I will more than likely be traveling as a loner. I am young and active and LOVE to dance, listen to live bandz. I would also like a tourguide who won't mind showing around and who is a balance between outgoing and chill. I am very cultural and open-minded to the ways of the Earth.

I'll be staying 4 months in Xalapa. I've had one whitewater rafting experience and loved it. I heard there are 2 rafting companies based out of Xalapa. Has anyone had any experience with either Veraventuras or Amigos Del Rio? The price looks right, but I'm concerned about safety and value for my money. Thanks!

can somebody help me to figure out about how much it will cost me to travel from Mexico to Vera Cruz. And Perhaps tell me with wich company I can travel.
I try to get informations on internet but they are not matching. One time I get the info that it would cost about 25$ (first class) and on the buses home pages I get about 330$. The difference is too big to figure it out in mexico :-)

We wish to take a bus from Puebla to Xalapa.
Where can we find the bus timetables.
Ticketbus does not show them but we are sure that buses run between Puebla and Xalapa

HOW CAN ARRIVE TO CHICONTEPEC THIS SEMANA SANTA

I have heard horror stories about the coast road from the Texas Border to Vera Cruz, is there any truth to it. I am familiar with driving in mexico as we have been to mostly central highland area ( Guanajanto. Querteraro, Michoacan, Patzcuaro, the colonial cities) mostly by toll Road. Can you get to Vera Cruz without going to Mexico City, via toll roads?

I will visit El Tajin in february. The next day, I need to come back to Mexico city pretty early. In my LP travel guide, there is some hotels recommendations, but no map. I need to figure out how to get as close as possible to the bus station to leave very early, even maybe by night.
Could anyone find me a city map online ?
