Does anyone have hotel recommendations for either of these cities? I can't find any reviews for Sombrerete hotels.

My husband and I stayed at Meson la Noria in Guadalupe last year. It was ok, just not great. We loved Guadalupe (and Zacatecas), however!

Also, I'd appreciate any recommendations about restaurants and things to do in Sombrerete.

I am a flight paramedic and I am bringing a lady back home from a hospital in Chicago. We are in need of a translator that can speak prefect english and spanish. This will be a meet and greet at the airport and spend about 1 hour helping me to give care instructions to the family. If you live in the area and can help that would be great. We will pay you for your time. Also, we need to find a hospital bed locally for this lady. If you can look up a medical supply company in town that sells these beds and give me the phone number I would greatly appreciate it.

I'll be flying into Aguascalientes airport and will need to get to Zacatecas city that same night. I'm presuming that I take a taxi from the airport to a bus station, and then a bus (like ETN) to Zacatecas. Anyone have experience with this -- or know where I can get the info --e.g., how far is the bus station from the airport? Name of station? Taxi faire? Trying to connect the dots ...

I'm flying in and out of the airport in Leon. Has anybody travelled by bus from there to Zacatecas? I'll need to look up the schedule so I can coordinate my flights, but I'm wondering how far from the airport the bus station in Leon is, cost of cab, etc, so any info is appreciated!

I'm looking for a small, B&B type hotel, clean, with just the basics for about 300 pesos a night in Zacatecas in September. Has anyone got any recommendations? I know of a great one in Gto that I like alot, but I'm thinking of splitting my next trip between these 2 cities.

Hey I am a documentary filmmaker from Dallas, Texas and I will be coming to Zacatecas, Zacatecas from December 5-21. I am looking for a musician, singer, painter, sculpter or any other type of artist that lives in the area to make a film about. I already have someone there but they are having trouble finding anybody. This will be great for people in the US to understand Mexicans and mexican culture better. Thanks

Hi,we are driving to Zacatecas from Monterrey, I have a map where it shows there is a toll highway to San Luis which we take from Saltillo, can anyone tell me if I can take this one and connect later to the one in Zacatecas, or do we have to take the regular highway to Zacatecas, which I understand is only one lane and more dangerous. whats it like there? is it small town. my boyfriend is from there and he is going there for a month. how far from a big city. what kind of things to do in jerez mexico.

I am planning a trip to Zacatecas in May 2005. I will be only carring what I can get in a back pack. Plan on staying about a week. Don't worry , I plan on washing some stuff while I am there. Where would you recommend staying that is not too expensive but clean and relatively safe. I don't speak much spanish (mostly words) and understand even less. This will give me a chance to learn more out of necessity. What do they call it immerison? Check my bbt home page since I don't know how to get my picture over here. I live in the Dallas, Texas area.

Looking to travel to Zacatecas for Nov. 24-28, 2004, I see that flight schedules directly from Zacatecas Airport require departure very early on Sunday. Therefore, what are other airport options from which I could travel by road into Zacatecas? Leon, Aguascalientes, ... ? What are the travel times via road, and which roads would be most picturesque? (Not traveling at night.)

Looking to find out the temperature in Zacatecus, Mexico in September. Is it very hot? What type of clothes should I bring? And any tips you can give me. Thanks.

My husband and I are very interested in moving to Morelia. We are retired teachers and know some Spanish. We both prefer to live in an area that is not overrun with fellow Americans from the U.S. Can anyone who has lived/traveled extensively in this part of colonial Mexico tell us what it's like? What are other cities in the area (besides San Miguel de Allende) that we might check out?
