Biarritz Weather and Accomodation in August
Posted: Tue July 21, 2009 01:33 PM UTC
Hi,we are thinking of travelling to Biarritz, mid August and staying for a few days before heading down towards Santander.
Ive read a few reports saying that the weather can be very rainy in August? Can anyone tell me what weather to expect?
Also, would this be peak season and if so will accomodation be very expensive? We didnt plan on booking accomodation ahead of time, but will that leave us at risk of not being able to get anything decent once we arrive!!
Thanks for your help.

Biarritz Working, staying in Biarritz
Posted: Mon April 27, 2009 11:54 AM UTC
I am planning to stay and work in Biarritz in the Summer for about a month, june/July. The work will probably not be highly paid and I am a not so wealthy young person who is attracted by the surfing mainly. Any ideas on reeeally cheap accomodation that really doesnt even have to look nice or be comfortable but just within walking distance of the main area which will be essential for if I am working.
Thanks in advance!!

Biarritz Travel from Biarritz to Bilbao
Posted: Tue April 14, 2009 07:28 PM UTC
We have a small group (6-8 people) travelling from Biarritz to Bilbao/San Sebastion. Does anyone know of a service where a driver would take us there in a van, possibly dropping some of the passengers at various locations along the way? We are flying out of Bilbao and would need the service only one-way.

Biarritz what to do - where to eat - what not to miss
Posted: Thu March 12, 2009 01:21 PM UTC
We are visiting Biarritz for four days at the end March beginning April. I will have two days (daytime) when hubby will be working and was hoping someone could give me some tips about where to go and what to see (are there any good markets etc that I can do on my own without hubby hanging around waiting) - also for the extra days when it will be both of us wanting to see all the things that should not be missed. Have heard Bayonne is also lovely so anything on there too would be great.

Also any advice on eating out? like most these days we are on a fairly tight budget but also like to eat where locals eat and not in the real touristy expensive areas.

Thanks very much

Biarritz Biarritz or Bayonne?
Posted: Sun August 3, 2008 05:30 PM UTC
I am planning to be in the Biarritz-Bayonne area for 3 days in mid September.

I will have to be at the airport at about7:45 0n a weekday for my 9:00 flight.
I can stay in either town. Which town is closer and easier to get to the airport by bus?

I was in Biarritz several years ago. I ate at the great Mexican restaurant, but had difficulty finding inexpensive restaurants. Are there any?

merci

On Aug 16 we arrive to the airport in Biarritz and rent a car. I am driving towards Bordeaux and quite apprehensive about getting out of Biarritz. I've checked Google Maps and have bought a map. Nevertheless, some advice would be much appreciated as I'll have 2 young girls and don't want to get lost. Thanks.

Biarritz Biarritz or Anglet Accommodation?

Hey,

2 Irish guys (28) coming over to Biarritz for a week in June. Any recommendations on whether we should stay in Biarritz or Anglet? We're not big surfers but intend to do a little and just want to be by the sea. Also, Any recommendations on accommodation on the beach in either location? Not studio apartments.

Biarritz Biarritz in April
Posted: Fri February 1, 2008 04:12 PM UTC
I'm hoping to go on a girls' holiday to Biarritz at the end of April, but a bit worried that as it will be out of season things will be a bit quiet, or even shut? Does anyone know? We'd be looking to take full advantage of the nightlife - clubs, bars and restaurants...Also, what about the weather? A bit hit and miss?

Thanks for your help!

Biarritz 1 week in Biarritz
Posted: Wed August 15, 2007 01:17 PM UTC
I will be in Biarritz for a week from 1 October mainly to surf and have some questions as I've never been there:
- Will it still be warm enough to go to the beach? I know it's impossible to answer this question as the weather could be bad, but if anyone could give me a general idea...
- Any good tips for friendly bars/places to hang out and meet other travellers/friendly people
- Good tips for clubs?
- If anyone from VT's gonna be there at that time do they want to meet up for a beer or something?

Would apreciate any tips really.

Hi.
I am contemplating a trip to Biarritz in the first week of October and my questions are as follows:
1. Is the surf still good in October or is it usually too rough/cold
2. Is the nighlife very expensive?
3. Any recommended friendly bars where I'm likely to meet people? I'll be travelling alone.
4. Anyone gonna be there around that time anf fancy a cheeky biere?

Biarritz cote basque vs cote vermeille?
Posted: Wed November 22, 2006 05:37 PM UTC
hi all,

e were in collioure in summer 2005 and loved it. in 2007 we will be in the pyrenees-atlantiques for the tour de france, and afterwards we are thinking about a week at biarritz, st-jen de luz, or hendaye.

the one concern i have is the weather, and the water temperatures. at the end of july, what can one expect to water temperature to be at the cote basque beaches?

ans how reliable is the sunshine, in general?

if water temperature can be expceted to be considerably warmer, and sunshine considerably more reliable, we might revise our beach plan and head back to the cote vermeille instead of the cote basque.

thanks in advance for your time and advice,

-eric zwicky
