My husband and I will be renting a car at Guadalajara airport and driving to Mazatlan in the next few weeks.
We would appreciate it if anyone could give us any information regarding the road conditions, toll fees, driving times, etc., as we have never done this trip by car before. Any info would be most helpful.
Will be visiting PV for the first time over Thanksgiving, and staying at the Westin Resort. We are curious about gay life and hangouts that would be good to visit. Thanks for any feedback provided.
We are going to need 2 bedroom suites, patio furniture, living room, dining room furniture, in a modern style.
Any suggestions where one could find this in Guadalajara ?
We will be there in mid November, and expect to spend about 4 days selecting the furniture.
I am considering relocating to Puerta Vallarta from No. Calif. early next year. Have been there many times but have no idea how to start looking for an apartment. Would like 1-2 bedroom in Old Town section. Nothing luxurious as will be on U.S. Soc. and you know how that is. Every website I visit either wants to sell me a condo or rent an expensive apt. Does anyone know any realtors who specialize in ex-pat rentals? Website URL would be appreciated. Also, what about limitations in visas, etc? I'm sure I could dig this up but since you're helping me why not go the extra mile (smile). Thanks for any help you can be.
I have visited La Bodeguita del Medio a few times while in PV and i really love the band that plays there. Would anyone by any chance know the name of the band or how i can get ahold of them??? I live in Chicago, but i am getting married in PV in the spring and would love to see if they would be for hire for my wedding. Thanks, megan

Holiday in PV Posted: Thu April 9, 2009 10:49 AM UTC
Hi again,
I have now decided on PV for my vacation for xmas but when looking at prices for villas or even hotels the prices have scared me. $14000 a week for a villa, is this correct? Is it that expensive there? Can anyone recommend a good villa with pool by the beach not too far away from the action at a reasonble price?
Goin to Nuevo Vallarta for the first time. Just wondering if anybody has been to vallarta palace recently, and how is it? Beaches, local restaurants, etc. Any info would help. Thanks in advance.
Does anybody know if the airport in Guadalajara has WIFI? I unfortunately have to go for a family wedding but have to push a project live on 3/23. My flight leaves at 2a and arrives in my home around 6a but to be on the safe side, I want to get those files moved before my plane departs.
I shall be at Puerto Vallarta in April arriving on Sapphire Princess cruise ship. We want to visit Malecon on our own. What is the best way to go there from the cruise terminal? Can we get around speaking only English? We have over 8 hours for the visit. Are there any interesting spot along the route?
With the problems and concerns with killings in Mexico is it safe to visit and stay in Puerto Vallarta. Any suggestions for an enjoyable, safe trip- thinking of end of February 2009
We will be visiting Guadlajara for about a week...fist time. We would like to stay near the town center or main plaza and will have a car.
Please suggest hotels and/or BBs that would be nice.

What is a reasonable price to offer a Pulmonia driver to take us from port to downtown? I dont want to be cheap but I dont want to be taken either. Are there Pulmonias in Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas also? What would I pay for a bus in these three cities... from the pier to downtown?
GDL Airport Posted: Sat January 24, 2009 07:58 PM UTC
We're traveling from SF to Panama via Guadalajara and Mexico DF on Mexicana. Question about the Guadalajara Airport. We arrive at 4 am at Guadalajara and then have to wait until 7:30 am to take Mexicana flight to Mexico City.
Are domestic and international terminals different buildings in Guadalajara? And secondly, are airport facilities even open at 4 am? I assume we have to go through immigration and then go to the domestic facility.

Hi,
It has been almost 25 years since I have been to PV and I want to go for some R/R. I am thinking about just arriving and wandering to the oler section of town in hopes of finding a clean, quiet, and safe hotel. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone cares to make. I just want to read, snooze, check out the local restaurants, etc. No discos.
We are catholics and will be in Puerto Vallarta at Christmas. We would like to attend Our Lady of Guadelope. We were wondering if there is a dress code?
Looks like I need to spend at least one night at Boca. I don't need anything fancy. (I'm rather poor at present.) Going on my own, on the 29th of December. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ian.
I am coming to Guadalajara in January of 2009 to study abroad at the Universidad de Panamericana. Does anyone know of any apartments that are in a nice/safe area? Or anywhere in particular where international students might stay? We really need feedback Thanks!
I was staying at Nuevo Vallarta Riu Jallisco last week and walked frequently to Bucerias along the beach. In this walk (about 1.7 miles), I counted 71 dead snakes, a 5 ft long sead eel and two dead fish. Is this common? Whyare they dead? Is the ocean safe to swim in there?
I am quite interested in staying in PV for a week.I am spending a previously week in a secluded beach villa. On searching around the Los Meurtos beach a couple of sites have popped up indicating around the lifestyle of the beach (blue chairs) and the old town.
Can somebody suggest some areas in downtown/ Romantic Zone in PV that would be more suited to a couple.
Any contact (email) with a local PV would be appreciated.
