Estado de México Frida Kahlo paintings in Mexico City
Posted: Mon April 14, 2008 02:16 PM UTC
Hi everybody. I am going to Mexico and staying in Mexico City for one night and the morning after. Where can I find exactly Frida Kahlo's paintings? i was told that many paintings of her are in the US or even by private collectors. Perhaps by her Blue Hause in Cayoacan? But I am not so interested to see her house but her masterpieces. Many thanks

Posted: Fri February 29, 2008 01:43 AM UTC
I have one and half days in Mexico City on my way to Guatemala, so that I can see Teotihuacan. I arrive Sunday night. My guide book says the site is open every day, but I have since heard it is closed on Mondays. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Estado de México Where to go in Northern Mexico?
Posted: Wed April 4, 2007 01:42 PM UTC
My friend and I are considering a trip to northern Mexico sometime in late July or early August. Could anyone recommend a good place/places to visit? We probably would only be there for a couple of days. We live in Texas and haven't every really been to visit the neighbors so to speak. She's been to Nuevo Laredo but that's it. It will take us about 8 or 10 hours to get to the border so we wouldn't want to go TOO far into Mexico. I looked at some info about Monterrey but its a bit far and a bit...big city. What would you recommend?

Estado de México Info about the area of Arboledas
Posted: Thu March 8, 2007 07:12 AM UTC
Hello, I would like to get more information about the area of Arboledas. I am going to be visiting the area, and I am having a hard time trying to find any information on the Internet about this area. What is the town like? Is there fast speed internet available? Traffic? Crime? apt/home rental prices?

Thank you for your time in answering my question.

Teotihuacán Getting to Teotihuacan from the airport?
Posted: Wed February 14, 2007 07:38 PM UTC
Hi,

My wife and I have a 9 hour layover in Mexico City this summer on our way home from our trip to Peru. I've always wanted to visit Teotihuacan, but I'm wondering whether it's feasible to do it in our window of opportunity. We land at 6:00am. I've been able to determine that the site opens at 7:00am so my thought was to just go outside the airport, grab the nearest taxi and head straight there. Does anyone know how much it would cost to take a taxi? How far is the site from the airport? Will there be taxi's at Teotihuacan when we're done touring the site or will I need to call to get one to come out there ... or just take a bus back? Is there a bus that leaves from the airport straight to Teotihuacan? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Estado de México Holidays in Mexico
Posted: Fri November 25, 2005 05:42 AM UTC
Hi there,
my husband and I will be travelling through Mexico over Christmas (for our honeymoon) and he is particularly interested in seeing lots of the Olmec sites, ie museums etc. Will we have problems with places being closed because of holidays over Christmas? When are the Mexican Public Holidays? Will these affect the running of buses?
Many thanks,

Estado de México What's the water like?
Posted: Tue November 1, 2005 06:19 PM UTC
I am going to the resort Allego Nuevo Vallarta. I always hear, and have read, that you should never drink the water in Mexico. Always bottled water. What happens with ice cubes in the drinks? What can happen to you if you do drink the water, or use ice cubes? I'm leaving on the 10th. I've never been to Mexico. Please tell me about your experiences...good or bad. I'm interested.

Teotihuacán Teotihuacan question
Posted: Wed April 6, 2005 04:41 PM UTC
My wife and I will be going to see Teotihuacan soon and I would really like to get there early in the morning. We'll be leaving from the North Bus Station in Mexico City and I know how to get there and everything, however, can anyone tell me what time does Teotihuacan begin its hours of operation? And also, what time does that first bus leave for Teotihuacan from the North Bus Station.
If anyone can answer those questions or at least point me in a direction to find the answers I'm looking for, that would be very helpful.

Thanks.

México Mexican Car Insurance
Posted: Tue December 14, 2004 05:27 PM UTC
We are planning on spending 3 weeks or more in Organ Pipe National Monument USA. This sits on the boarder of Mexico and has a couple of towns where we want to drive to for fresh seafood and breads. Last time we were there we were taken into town by a fellow camper. This time we are on our own. Can anyone recommend Meican Insurance for our truck that is trustworthy and can be purchased by the week or month? Thanks.

Teotihuacán So Little Time...
Posted: Sun August 29, 2004 02:52 PM UTC
Hi All,

We will be staying overnight in Mexico City, then the following day we need to be at the airport by 7.00pm.

I just HAVE to see the Teotihuacan Site - as much as I can in what little time we have.

If we leave Mexico City approx 7am, do you think this is enough time to get the most out of a visit? I really don't want to miss out on anything.

I would welcome any advice, or recommendations you may have.

Thanks Heaps!

Sel.

Toluca Toluca?
Posted: Tue May 4, 2004 01:04 AM UTC
If you are interested in visiting or living in Toluca, contact me. I have had a house there since 1987 and divide my time between Toluca and Acapulco.

Visit any day except Friday when the streets are clogged with a big flea market (nothing worth seeing there). However, the city's downtown, churches, museums are great. This is a city of sports, universities, culture, hospitals, government buildings, and factories, and factories, and factories.

Come expecting COLD weather and no night life.

México RELOCATING TO MEXICO ON LIMITED FINANCES
Posted: Mon April 19, 2004 02:20 AM UTC
My husband and I have been researching allot recently on 'retiring' to Mexico. We are in our early 40's and are considering moving there sooner. We have limited finances and would love to hear from people who have actually made the move and are living comfortably in Mexico on disability or smaller incomes. We very much desire a modest, slower-paced lifestyle. Any success stories out there ??
