Has anyone received a scholarship for Spanish language classes Instituto Chac-Mool in Cuernavaca, Mexico? I see them offered on their website and that college credit is an option. But I'm wondering how easy it is to transfer credits from a Mexican university to a U.S. university. If you've done this, please let me know.

I'm looking into language schools in the Cuernavaca area for a quick vacation this summer. From the research I've done so far it looks like there are a *ton* of them, and they all look more or less the same. Does anyone have any experience to recommend one of them over the others?

Some details on what I'm looking for:
- My Spanish level is beginner-intermediate.
- I can only stay for 1 - 1.5 weeks. I have no illusions of gaining fluency in that time - mostly I'm looking for something to kick-start my Spanish, and have some fun at the same time.
- Not interested in academic credit.
- Would be interested in home-stays, field trips, other fun activities, not just sitting in a classroom all day.
- Medium price range. Do not require 5 star accommodations, but I'm really beyond the back-packer hostel at this point.

Does anyone recognize something from this description that might fit my bill?

Having never been to Curenavaca I find the hotel listings -well somewhat suspect.
We am so looking to going this December and want to stay in a nice, scenic hotel. We are adventous as a family but this trip are looking for a little luxury at a reasonable price. We want to have a memorable vacation and although our budget is somewhat limited it is not that small. Does anyone have any suggestion for a nicer place from a recent visit there ? Thank you for any suggestions you can give.

I have heard that the city has problems with the availability of water..meaning not enough water or there are shortages. is this true?

We will be traveling to Mexico - area of Cuatuala/Oaxtepec. Does anyone know of an established center where we english speakers could learn spanish in or near cuautla or oaxtepec ? Or of any private tutors in same area. I have heard about the Zapata Center but i can't get a response from them. do they still exist ? Many thanks

What is there to do in Cuautla, Morelos? As far as where to eat, where to go, where to shop.

I stayed in Cuernavaca on a language immersion program about 10 years ago. I am going back in the summer and would like to stay in a cheap but nice hotel in the downtown (old city) area. I remember we stayed in a gorgeous place, unknown to the big tour companies, for like $35 a night right near the square. I don't remember what it was called anymore though. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!--emily

Any suggestion on traveling with kids in general. I have visited Cuernavaca many times in the past and I'm traveling there at the end of may with my wife & 2 yr old. Any suggestions on catching bus out of MC airport and general traveling tips would be greatly appreciated!

I'm planning to travel to Cuernavaca and/or Cuautla and cause I'm working as vet nurse I'd like to visit some local clinic but I haven't been able to find any. I'd be very grateful if someone could tell me a name and maybe even email address of some vet clinic. And if you've any recommendation of some cheap hotel in those cities I'd be happy to hear about it. I'm planning to travel next summer.
