We will be travelling to Vancouver in Jan and would like to find out how I can get to YWCA hotel from the airport and return as well. Last time when I was there, I took the Charter Bus Lines airport transfer but seems like this is no longer in service.
I'll be 6 month pregnant at that time with my 2 years old girl, hence, I hope to find some similar airport transfer. Please kindly advise. Thanks in advance!
We need to bring a marine diving robot (in a normal suitcase) for up-dates to Nanaimo. Which do you guys think is the best, safest, economical or normal to transport it?
Hello! I am planning to go to Vancouver for 2 weeks. It will be my first time visiting this city and I decided to hire a car to see as much as possible. Could you, please recommend me some RELIABLE and cheap car hire companies in Vancouver?
I will travel with my small son, that is why I will highly appreciate if recommended car hire companies will be really reliable.
Hello, I'm visiting Vancouver for the next three weeks to study urban agriculture on my own and visit the local farms and community agriculture. Any ideas for best sites to visit?
Also, any recommendations on hostels on a budget? Anyone visiting the city or a resident of the city who would like to give a day tour of the waterfront/cool places in Vancouver?
I recently visited Vancouver (which I fell in love with) and also came across a typical tourist shop which also happened to sell lovely jewellery. I planned to return on my last day (was only there for 3 days) but never made it due to lack of time and have tried to phone the shop up to contact them when I got back about some of their jewellery. The shop is called Canadian Crafts Willy Enterprises Ltd and it is owned by Jack Lam (I have their business card). The address is 1045 Robson St and the number is 604-684-6629 and I've tried to call from London (where I am based) using +1604-684-6629 but the call hasn't gone through. Any ideas if I'm going wrong or if I need to add any other dialling codes apart from the +1?
I just arrived in Whistler and very much enjoy the place.
Where will I be able to watch bears? It seems, I will be the only person been in Canada without having seen one...
I asked in the hotel and at the tourist information - their answers were not really helpful. I formerly read in this forum, to go to the dump-place in Whistler. Today I have been informed, that this one has been removed.
We have got a car, so it would not be a problem to drive a little bit around. Any suggestions?
Are there any hikes in Strathcona that anyone particularly recommends? I will have 4 days in the Strathcona Lodge next week, which means 4 days to take day hikes, and explore. Does anyone have any suggestions about that area? Thanks! Audrey
We hope to stopover in Vancouver enroute to US somewhere in mid Nov to end Dec, which will be a better month to be in Vancouver? Nov or Dec?
Can someone pls recommend some good hotels in Vancouver and places of interest we should not miss if we are only staying for 2-3 days? What's the best way to get to town from airport for a family of 4?
I hope to use the Air Link from Vancouver airport at end of August. I will be returning on early morning flight, departure 7:30am and would like to know if the train operates early morning to get me to airport between 6-6:15 am. Otherwise, is there a shuttle or other bus service from downtown? Thanks to all for any suggestions.

Hi, just wondering what this area is like to live in, I am considering moving from the UK and this area really appeals to me! What is it like travelling to the main cities, and what are house prices like? Also from searching on the internet i have not noticed many companies renting properties, is this uncommon? thanks!!
Hi VT Gang, I am thinking of doing 6 nights in Vancouver in September and it looks like it runs over the Canadian Labour day weekend. Will it be packed on Vancouver Island for that weekend? How many days should I split between Vancouver and V. Island? We like exploring small towns, up to 8 miles hikes, plus some culture thrown in. Thanks, Karl
I'll be visiting BC in March/April 2010 from AU. Having never seen snow, this trip is going to be brilliant!
I'm dissapointed however, I would love to get a close and personal look at some glaciers but can't find any tours operating during that time. Which Glaciers are accessible during that time of year? I'll be travelling North to Terrace from Vancouver.
Does anyone know of a Glacier Bay (Alaska) tour that operates during that time.
Hi - I am new to the forum and have a question about where to stay in Nelson (we are travelling there in Sept). I lived in Nelson for a few months back in 1995, and have not been back since. I can't wait to go back, b/c I loved my time there, such a beautiful place. But - where should my husband and I stay? Does anyone have feedback on the Hume Hotel or the Mountain Hound Inn? Also, any good B&Bs? We are in our 30s - and B&Bs aren't really our style - but if we luck out on hotels, we may go this route. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
We are planning to buy the 4 days BC Ferries sail pass (vehicle + 6 passengers) for the trip from Vancouver to Sunshine coast & Vancouver Island.
Plan to split the trips to Victoria, Sunshine coast & Nanaimo/Tofino.
Day 1 : Tsawassen to Swartz bay/Vicoria & return by night
Day 2 : Horseshoe Bay to Sunshine coast & return by night
Day 3 : Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo, parksville, Qulaicum beach, overnight at Qulicum beach
Day 4 : Qualicum beach to Tofino & return to Nanaimo/Horseshoe bay by night
As above we are skipping the drive from Victoria to Nanaimo

Hi all.
My partner and myself did the usual cruise a few years ago then spent a week in your city, we want to revisit Skagway, Ketchikan, for a few days and see them in more detail and maybe another town along the way before returning to city for a week or so.
So is it possible to get a coastal ferry from Vancouver even if we need to change ships, or sea plane as we want a nice trip.
Also any Gay friendly hotel, I know Canada id great for Gay people.
My Partner and myself made history by being the very forst Gay male partnership to take Civil Partnership when came in 0n the 21st December, kept a secret but now getting out, only family close friends knew at the time.
Thanks all.
David
We would be in Vancouver shortly & need a car ( 4/5 passengers) for local use. Which is the most economical Car Rental giving on hourly or per day/weekly basis for International driving licence holder.
We would be Vancouver for a month's stay & would need a cell phone SIM card plan for local usage only. Our requirement would be mainly incoming calls or sending out text messages. Members could advice on the best plan available meeting our requiremnents.
