Province of New Brunswick Need Carpooling from Bathurst area..Female for female. Share expenses?
Posted: Mon July 16, 2007 03:13 PM UTC
My girlfriend accepted my proposal..yay! She lives in Bathurst. We were wondering if any female travelers would consider talking to her and sharing a ride to the states. We thought this would be both economical and an adventure.

I could meet you anywhere in the south to midwest or inbetween the Bathurst/New Brunswick area to the western part of the USA.

This post is legit and I would appreciate anyone woman interested with carpooling and saving money to please email me. Suedeskyy@yahoo.com

thx and have a blessed day...

Grand Manan Ferry
Posted: Tue June 12, 2007 03:16 PM UTC
I am thinking of travelling to Grand Manan this July(2007). We will travelling with our truck and tent trailer. Hopefully camping on the island. Our truck and trailer measure approx. 36 feet(12 meters) and 2 adults. Can someone please confirm the cost of taking the ferry (seems to be expensive) and also how is the camping on the island. We enjoy private campsites, clean showers and a nice beach(also prefer walking to the beach).
Thank's

Province of New Brunswick How is life in Moncton?
Posted: Tue January 16, 2007 01:41 AM UTC
Happy New Yr:

Could you provide detailed information about working and living in Moncton?
I would ask for, parks available? things to do with kids? schools? universities? activities for families? cost of living?

In general any information you consider relevant is highly apppreciated.

We currently live in Montreal but don't like it at all.

Kindly

I am planning an eastern Canada trip that has me choosing which ferry route to take. I am having trouble deciding, and the differences are subtle. One main difference is that I'll have to choose between visiting:
- St. John, New Brunswick
OR
- Yarmouth, Nova Scotia

Any thoughts??

THANKS!

Province of New Brunswick How to BUS from Quebec City to St. John
Posted: Thu August 3, 2006 08:00 AM UTC
Hi hi!

Would you guys happen to know if there's some sort of bus service running from Quebec City to St. John? :O I am using public transport for my trip...

I've been trying to look online for HOURS!!! BUT HAD NO SUCCESS!!!

From the map, it looks plausible.. you know.. going from Quebec City through Fredericton and then stopping at St. John..

However, if I can't do this, I'll have to re-plan my trip :( :( :(

NOOOOOO....

But ya just wondering ^__^

Thanks so much for any help on this!!!

Grand Manan Basic Info about where to stay, what to do, how to get there
Posted: Fri June 16, 2006 02:51 AM UTC
We'd like to visit Grand Manan this summer for a few days. I'm looking for basic information about visiting the island, like ferries (any from Maine?), recommendations on where to stay (no camping or cottages), do we need a car?, recommended places to explore on foot, bike, kayak? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Province of New Brunswick June family vacation
Posted: Fri June 9, 2006 12:43 AM UTC
We are traveling to New Brunswick and Maine for a week at the end of June. We are flying into Bangor, Maine on a Saturday. We then want to see as much of eastern New Brunswick as we can. We are then going on to Acadia and Bar Harbor for a few days and leaving from there. I have booked a hotel in Saint John. I have also been looking at Moncton. My questions are:
1. In what order would you travel?
2. How many days would you spend in each location?
3. Would you do more day trips from Moncton or Saint John?
4. Are there other places reasonably close (less than 100 miles) that we should also try to see?
5. Where is the best place to stay to see Fundy National Park and Hopewell rocks?
Thank you so much in advance for your help

Grand Manan Fishing opportunity in Grand Manan?
Posted: Thu June 1, 2006 05:47 PM UTC
The four of us from Ontario are planning to have our first visit to Grand Manan in August 2006 and we are planning to stay for a week. While we have read many information about whale watch tour, we don't seem to find information about fishing tour. Are there companies that organize fishing trip and what is the opportunity for fishing along the shore? Do we need a fishing license from the Province of New Brunswick? Thanks

Can anyone tell me what the fastest way is to drive from Toronto to Fredericton ? I heard once that the fastest route is through Montreal, then to Sherbrooke, then to Maine, and through main to N.B. If this is true, which border crossing is it at the Maine border ? And which highways through Maine ?

Province of New Brunswick Can anyone recommend a town near Moncton?
Posted: Tue September 20, 2005 03:33 PM UTC
I'm getting married in October, and my fiancee and I want to drive up to New Brunswick. He really dislikes cities, so we don't want to stay in Moncton or Fredericton, but we're trying to find a town near one of those cities that will interest us on its own, but is not too far (maybe 2-45 minutes) from a city. Can anybody help me???

Province of New Brunswick Last minute accomodation in the Maritimes, etc. - advise please
Posted: Tue July 19, 2005 04:58 AM UTC
Hi,
My husband and I will be driving around the Maritime for 9 days in mid August. Then we'll fly to NFL and drive there for a week. It's going to be our first time in Eastern Canada. It'll be busy two weeks, but we'd like to get the most out of it. My concern is having to stick to a stricked schedule because of pre-booked accomodation. As I mentioned we will be renting a car. We are considering spending a couple of nights sleeping in the car if a worse case scenarion, but other than that we would like to rely on last-minute rooms. Our budget is limited, so hostels or small B&B are a way to go, but we would like to stay at a nicer place to get better rest every 2-3 days.

We start our trip in Halifax; spend the night there or close around (maybe Peggy's cove?) then we drive down the south west shore, through the Litehosue route; then off to Dingby and take the ferry to St. John, NB. We'd like to visit see the Foundy Bay and the tides and drive north toward the Confederation Bridge to PEI. While, in PEI we'll focus mainly on the central part of the island (from Summerside, PEI National Park & beaches,Charlottetown). Then we'll take the ferry to Caribou, NS. From there we want to drive to Cape Breton Island, do the Cabot Trail, visit Beddeck, Sydney, Louisburg, and drive back to Halifax.
From Halifax we fly to St. John's, NFL and rent a car again. We want to drive up to Twilligate (maybe stay overnight there for sure), and then move towards Gros Morne Park. We'll have to drive back the same way to get to St. John's, and while there maybe drive south to the Wittless Bay.

Any advise would be appreciated in terms of the itinerary and your experience with accomodation.
Thank you very much!

Province of New Brunswick Woodstock, New Brunswick
Posted: Fri May 27, 2005 02:50 PM UTC
I am looking for some general information about Woodstock, New Brunswick -- if anyone here is from there or has happened to see it.

What is the population?
What is the climate like?
How far away is it from Frederickton and Moncton?
As far as towns go, what is it like living there? What are some interesting things to do?
Are there any places nearby to hike or ski?
How far apart is everything? Do you have to drive to get everywhere or are all the main highlights in the same core area?

Thanks
