My husband and myself are now empty nesters and are finally about to fulfill our dream of opening a camping/Motel/B&B.
We want to be surrounded by beauty and from what I have been told Manitoulin Island is one of the top 10 in Canada.
Here is my question we are looking to purchase an existing business and we have been in touch with the owner of HEMBRUFF’S MOTEL in Manitowaning: can anyone tell me about this part of Manitoulin and anything about what this Motel is like.
Thank You so much in advance for all your help.
Greetings,
I'm trying to plan a trip to Niagara Falls without needing to rent a car. I have already decided to stay on the Canadian side but I'm flying into the Niagara Falls International Airport on the US side.
Is anyone familiar with a hotel that would pick me up in the US? Any other suggestions to solve my problem would be most appreciated!

HEY GUYS HAVE ANY OF YOU STAYED AT THE MARRIOTT RESIDENCE INN, DOWNTOWN TORONTO, RECENTLY. I WOULD LOVE YOUR REVIEWS IF YOU HAVE. I WAS RECOMMENDED THE DELTA CHELSEA FOR LOCATION BUT THE REVIEWS ARE REALLY BAD. OPTION ON THE RESIDENCE INN BUT BEFORE I BOOK I WOULD LOVE YOUR COMMENTS.
We are planning to take a coach from Niagara Fall, Toronto to Buffalo Airport, NY. Both Megabus and Coach Canada operates a daily transport but we were wondering...are both toronto bus and coach terminal the same place? If not, which is nearer to Niagara falls,we'll probably live near there somewhere. And how do we get there? If they are not the same location, would anyone know which transport is more reliable? There are 6 adults in our group. thanks.
Hi everyone! I will be visiting Toronto very soon and would like to know how the Vietnamese food in Toronto is. Does anyone have recommendations for visitors? Places to go, dishes to try?
Wr're planning to visit toronto from Nov 17-21, driving from New York. Anyone with good suggestions for a family of 4 adults and 2 teens? Heard that most of the sightseeing, e.g. Niagara falls are closed, flying thousands of miles and cannot see it! hahhahaha. So....please give some great tips! thanks
It will be my first time in Toronto, I will be visiting on late October and begining of November, so, what should I expect from the weather in Toronto? What kind of clothes are the most advisable to wear, taking into account that I come from a place where the average temperatures are 20 C this time of the year?
Hi all, we are a group of young students who are planning to make a trip to Ottawa. None of us have been there and we do not want to be stranded in the city. We do have an option of hiring some professional travel agent, but as for now, can you please make some recommendations on the best places to stay there.
Thanks in advance.
My wife and I plan on taking a train from Niagara Falls to Ottawa, spend a few days then VIA Rail from Ottawa to Montreal - spend a few days, Montreal to Quebec City and spend a few days. Generally speaking, do the trains run on time in Canada? In Quebec City we plan on catching a cruise ship so we will have two LARGE suitcases plus two carry on bags. These trains do not have Checked Baggage per the VIA Rail website, providing I am reading it correctly. I don't want to be an UGLY American and place these in the passinger car where other people have to step around them. Is there a location on the train, either a baggage car or a luggage section in the passinger car where we can place these bags? Also plan on traveling Business if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I will land in toronto on the 21st sept evening and leaving on the 23rd evening.
Could someone please recommend a good bed and breakfast near or in front of some quite and serene lake.
My second question is that are there clearwater lakes around/within toronto. which one is the most unfrquented and peacful?
My wife and I will be vacationing in this area just going around.
We will be driving around in our car, but in the evenings, we would like a nice, quiet place to come back to. We prefer budget, clean places - any suggestions ?
Please advise if bus transportation is available from Guelph to Owen Soudn ON. I am arriving via train at 7:00 P.M.September 20, 2009. Looking forward to your response.
I'm travelling to Niagara Falls in October with my two aunties.
We're getting the train up from New York, we have to get off the train at the Amtrack Station on the NY side. However, we're staying at a hotel on the Canada side of Niagara!
The train arrives in the evening, when it will be dark, so we're trying to find the best and quickest option to get to our hotel, with our three cases.
Is it easy to get a taxi over?
I'll be in the Big T (downtown) on Saturday celebrating my anniversary and I need to know where the R&B/hip-hop clubs are for the older crowd- 30 and older. Can someone help?
Hi everyone! My husband and I are planning a trip to Niagra Falls in October. We will be flying into Toronto. We aren't too sure as to what area we should stay at. We like "Niagra on the Lake" but don't know if it's too far from the "Falls?" We have heard that the dining near the Falls isn't that great(mostly chain restaurants). We like fine dining but we also like the nightlife. We plan on spending one day at the falls, maybe go on the "maid of the mist" boat tour or helicopter tour? And the other day, we plan on visiting the wineries and doing food and wine pairings/tastings. I would appreciate all your help. Thanks so much!! :)
I wish to take the inside the parliament Hill Guided Tour earliest time slot (9.00am). I understand that they only give out ticket on the same day too. Does anyone know about hoe early must I go to queue up for the ticket if I want the earliest time slot (9.00am timeslot). Thanks. :)
I have a question that is bugging me. My Girlfriend and I are going to be in Niagara Falls on the 27th Sept, that night we wish to catch the overnight Greyhound bus to New York. My problem is that with us being in Australia, I am unable to book online or over the phone (already spoke to an operator), they are saying that Niagara Falls Ontario terminal is not "high tech" enough to take such orders!! and that we should turn up 1 hour before the scheduled departure time and purchase our tickets??
My worry is that the bus may be sold out and we will be stuck in Niagara.
Has anyone traveled on this bus, and does it sell out often?
I am going to Ottawa in early Sept. I will be going with a 1 year old baby boy who can't walk yet. I am consider drive or taking the public bus? Am I able to get up and down the bus with ease with my baby in the stroller? Please advise. Thanks

i think im going to stay in some cheep n cheerful backpacker type hostel, not sure which? do you know if there is any i should avoid?
and also im wondering about trips out of toronto - id like to get to niagra, but dont know which company to choose, and im wondering about doing an 8 day trip with Moose Travel Network, they are based in Toronto, going to kingston, montreal, mt. tremblant, ft. coulonge, ottawa and passing through algonquin park. But i dont know if that company is any good? or if there is another one I should be going with. Im more in to seeing your great countryside rather than too many cities.
ANY HELP / SUGGESTIONS OF THINGS TO DO / NOT DO WOULD BE GREAT

I'd like some advise please! On September 9th myself and my boyfriend shall be arriving at Pearson International airport and need to get to our hostel in Chinatown (Chinatown Travellwers Home), I'd like to know what the cheapest option of getting there would be? The hostel is offering a pick up bus but is charging $50 but i'm not sure if this is per person and whether this price is too expensive! Would a taxi be cheaper or is there public transport available that is easy to use?
We will only be in Hamilton, Canada for three nights and two days. Which is a good safe location and nearest to the Niagra Falls to book for our accommodation? We are on our way to Hamilton, Ontario. We heard that there are many sweet fruits which are shipped from Bangkok to Hamilton. Does anyone know where we would find them, we meant, which groceries would be selling them? We will be staying at Falls Views Blvd., Niagra Falls, Ontario...
We also heard that there are good authentic Chinese places to eat. Any suggestions from a location?
Cheers!

Hey, guys, I'm going up to Toronto tomorrow, and on Wednesday evening I'd like to take my wife's boss out to dinner. Little Italy or west of downtown seems like a good place for us to meet..and I like Italian anyway...
So, any recommendations on a real Italian restaurant (i.e., with Italians) in the area, or is Toronto's Little Italy going the way of New York's Little Italy (i.e., most of the people there have never been to Italy)...?
Anyway, Italian is less important than a decent place where two guys can hear each other talk...
