Hello,
We will visiting Cannes On November 1, 2009 via cruiseline.
Are most of the sights closed due to All Saints Day?
Can you recommend sights to visit and transportation options (bus) for that day?
Would Grasse and Gourdon be a reasonable trip from Port of Cannes?
Thank you

Cannes Best restaurant to lunch in Cannes
Posted: Sun May 17, 2009 08:52 PM UTC
I'm looking for suggestions for the best place to have lunch in Cannes. We'd like somewhere that's nice and serves primarily French cuisine, but no more than $100/person if possible. We're only there for the day on a cruise ship excursion so it must be easy to find as we won't have a car. Any ideas?

Cannes Travel between Cannes and Milan
Posted: Thu March 26, 2009 07:16 PM UTC
Is there a reasonable and efficient way to travel between Cannes and Milan? The flights leave from Nice, which is OK, but all seem to have connections in third countries. The rail connections don't look any better. Suggestions will be much appreciated.

Cannes Film festival advice
Posted: Thu March 26, 2009 02:46 PM UTC
My wife and I are planning a trip to Cannes / Antibes for the last weekend of the film festival this year (2009). We will be driving and are considering staying at the Stars Antibes Hotel. I have several questions if anyone is interested in helping.

1. How much will it cost to use public transportation to get from ANtibes to the festival area in Cannes?

2. Would it be possible to drive into Cannes and park?

3. Any advice on star spotting spots in Cannes would be greatly appreciated!

4. Any Advice about the festival or the area would be greatly appreciated. Especially info on eating and avoiding being robbed by high festival prices!

5. I also found a cheap hotel near the airport in Cannes. Would this be a better location?

We will be driving from Bavaria, Germany on Friday 22 and returning to Germany on Tuesday the 26th. Again any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cannes 6 hours in Cannes
Posted: Fri March 13, 2009 12:13 AM UTC
Our cruise ship will be docking in Cannes for 6 hours and we would like to see it, Nice, Eze and Monte Carlo. Is that possible to do in that amount of time and would we be better off trying to do it on our own without a tour to save some money or is it more efficient to set up a tour? How much time should we alot for each town and in what order should we try to see them? Thanks!

Cannes transportaion to st paul de vence
Posted: Mon March 9, 2009 02:46 AM UTC
We are a group of 8 arriving by ship to Cannes in June. How expensive would it be to hire a taxi to take us to St Paul de Vence? I read there is no train that goes directly there. Rental cars are quite expensive to fit 8 people. Any help or suggestions I would appreciate.

Cannes Cannes to Barcelona by train?
Posted: Tue November 4, 2008 10:33 AM UTC
Hi there
My friend and I will be in Cannes for the week 28 March-2 May 2009. We would love to travel to Barcelona on 2 April by train but have no idea where to start. Firstly, are there trains from Cannes station to Barcelona? If so, how long is the trip and do the trains leave Cannes station regularly? What is the price of a one way train ticket from Cannes to Barcelona?

Cannes Train Price for an Old Guy
Posted: Tue August 19, 2008 03:36 PM UTC
I'll admit it! I turn 61 next week & everything is slowing down. I'm trying to find train fares for my wife & I but can't seem to figure them out. I show anywhere from 33 Eu. on up. I don't know weather that's for one or two, Round or One way trip and/or senior fares. We'd like to take a quick trip to Nice from Cannes while on a cruise stop. We also plan on a local tour of Cannes called "Big Tour". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Cannes I need your advice on 8 day stay in the area of Cannes
Posted: Tue February 26, 2008 11:28 PM UTC
It is a combination trip of work and vacation. I have to meet a person that lives in Tanneron (one meeting for 2 hours) - we agreed to meet in Cannes, but the meeting can take place in Tanneron. It is our first time in South of France _ my husband needs mostly -rest, so what we think to do - is rent a nice place ( it can be in a small Boutiq hotel' or house, or room in an house ) - that will be our foacl point and we will go around with the car have nice trips. Not too much walking as I am recovering from torn muscle, and not too much driving as we try to rest. Any information - suggestions - will be appriciated. I looked at the VT - recomendation - but I am lost, because I canwt deside wich city to stay near by' what is important to see. I know that Avinion is great and San Paul de Vence - but they are far from canne. I don't want the tourist beausy places - we want peace, nature, small allies, culture, maybe going out here and there . Can you recommened a place to stay, good relaiable car rental agancy, restaurnts ( you can write me details in a mail). Help dear people help.

Cannes 10 Hours in Cannes
Posted: Wed September 5, 2007 04:22 PM UTC
On Oct 14, 2007, we (2 couples in their early 60's) will have about 10 hrs. shore time from a cruise ship. Any input as to how warm it is likely to be?
Secondly, what are some of the interesting day time things to do in Cannes - including a beer/wine stop somewhere to enjoy some local flavour? We'll have seen lots of "history" and "antiquity" by the time we get to this stop, so would probably lean toward something beachy or casual. There seems little point going to Nice or Monte Carlo (as some of the ship tours offer), when we are in CANNES!
Input appreciated.
