I am planning on visting Lahore in March / April. Can anyone recommend any good, clean, reasonablly priced places to stay? The hotels seem to be quite expensive. I've heard Guest Houses are usally good and reasonably priced. Has anyone stayed at a good Guest House in Lahore that they can recommend? I remember there was a motel on the main road across from the Echison College. Is that any good and does anyone have a contact number for them or know what there rates are like?

Hi all, im a british passport holder of pakistani heritage and am visiting Lahore in a couple of weeks (inshallah) im hoping to cross over to india from wagah border anybody know how easy/difficult it is to get a indian visa from there and how long it can take ?? all help appreciated

Can someone tell me the latest experience of crossing border from India to Pakistan at Wagah? I assume with Canadian passport I need visa for both countries. What I am interest in is this: Is it a hassle to cross the border? Also, if it is difficult to cross the border at Wagah, are there any flights between Delhi and Lahore?

How does one get a good seat at the Wagah border ceremony each evening?

Is it first come first serve, or are there ways to get a better seat. This is for a Pakistani family with 4 children.

i've heard so much about coocoo's den and the controversy of the owner who is also an artist. i also hear it has a beautiful view of the city at night and some great food, but my fiance thinks this isn't a good place to take me. i think he wants to protect me from the red light district and the "bad eyes" of men. anyways, any vt'ers been there?? what did you think? would you recommend it?

hi, i am travelling with the missus to lahore in july of this year and would appreciate some help and advice please. we would like to know of any nice 3 or 4 star hotels near the fortress market . last time we stayed at the regency and this was too far away. spent most of the time in taxis. secondly would anyone know if the zeepunaal shop at fortress is still operating, found this to be a league apart in ladies fashion salwar kameez from most other shops. and if there are any other similar shops to this one. thanx

I am currently living in the U.S and want to send my 3 year old son to a reputable school in Pakistan. I heard about The International School of Choueifat but I don't know too much about it. The school sent me some info re: registration but I have read some bad reviews about it---e.g some school teachers being fomer strippers and that they hire anyone with a foregin passport. That they do not hire qualified teachers because they will question the way the school teaches....so therefore, I don't know if this is all true or not but I need someone who honestly has been there or knows about the school to reply.

I would really appreciate it as I am currently not going to enroll my son there.

hmm lahori youngsters, what i have noticed is that the night life is only based on gettin a green or a red signal or shopping or eatin? well i am planing to go to pakistan however i am not sure about the night life as in night clubs...

I am an American woman journalist in Lahore for two months for work. Arriving around January 30. A female friend will arrive February 10. Is there any likelihood that we can rent an apartment for about two months? What is the best way to go about this? Please advise.
