Las Vegas LOVE at Mirage
Posted: Sat May 17, 2008 03:28 PM UTC
Just in case anyone is considering this show I would advise against it. We went the other night and we were very disappointed. The opening was very good but from then on boring. Nothing seemed to happen. People were just running on and off stage doing little more than dancing. There was some guys doing a roller staking bit and group doing a trampoline act. Other than that there was A LOT of people flying in and out on an elaborate cable system. We just kept waiting for that WOW moment and it never came. After 90 minutes we left. Don't waste you time or money on this show.
We have seen Mystere twice and "O" once and they were fabulous. So if you are looking for a cirque show catch one of them.

Las Vegas Total Rewards
Posted: Fri May 9, 2008 03:01 AM UTC
Staying at Paris over the weekend on a decent room offer that included all of the Harrah's properties. It's been mentioned here that these room deals are the best part of the Harrah's comp program, whereas MGM Mirage properties are more likely to comp your room upon checkout. Is this the case, and if so, should I use up whatever comps I get over the course of weekend to pay for meals at Paris, rather than saving them hoping to the one night I'm paying for knocked off?

Las Vegas Trying to choose a hotel...Luxor, MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay?
Posted: Sat May 3, 2008 05:32 PM UTC
I am trying to chooses between these few hotels. The Luxor has the best prices, which has great appeal to me, but it is at the far end of the strip (not as close as i would like to be)and i have heard that they're rooms aren't that nice. The MGM Grand looks really fun, but it is SO big! I don't want to spent all of my time lost in my hotel. lol. The Mandalay Bay is beautiful but also very expensive. I don't want to spent that much money and end up disappointed. Any advice would be great. Thank you!

Henderson Transportation from Las Vegas Airport to Henderson, Nevada
Posted: Tue April 29, 2008 05:09 PM UTC
I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers for the best way to get from the Las Vegas Airport (LAS) to Henderson, Nevada on Lake Las Vegas. From what I understand this is just under 20 miles north of the strip in Vegas. I'm headed to the Montelago Village Resort for a wedding. I'm looking to avoid traveling 20 miles in a cab and spending too much money.

Is there a bus or something that heads up there? If so, do you know any details? bus name, number, cost, where it picks up, etc.

I should say I arrive on Friday, July 4th (a holiday). So maybe there's a holiday schedule I should know about...?

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Posted: Sun April 27, 2008 08:35 AM UTC
Team,

Wife, 9yo daughter and I will be landing in Las Vegas at 11am on a Tuesday in Spetember.

On this day, we plan to do Hoover Dam after we are "set free" from airport.

Where else can we visit that does not take very long and arrive back in Las Vegas before 5pm?

Las Vegas Winter in Vegas. Is it worth the staying?
Posted: Wed April 16, 2008 05:15 PM UTC
Hi VT friends!

I'm planning a trip to Vegas in the end of february, because it's my holiday period for all the year. How is Vegas in winter? I saw the weather, and it's not cold as New York, for example. Is the city crowd? What do you think?

Best regards!
