Hi there
can anyone advise what safety standards exist for bathroom fittings in the maldives etc safety glass? Do they conform to British Safety Standards or do they have there own safety standards?
Any help would be much appreciated

I'm going to Maldives around Nov. this year and will stay at Holiday Inn Kandooma. I would like to ask whether there are other methods to get to the resort by myself? Since the resort-staff quotes me a price of USD183/person for the airport to resort transfer!
Besides, my arrival time will be at about 2000 O'clock. Is that possible?

I will be in Male for 2 days. Can someone advise me which ferry service I can take to have a small excursion to a neigbouring island? Where is a good place to go to spend a few hours away from Male? Any tips on good restaurants besides Trends in Anundhura Palace? Thanks.

I am travelling from the UK to Meedhupparu Island Resort on an all inclusive holiday on the 11th Jan and this will be my first visit to The Maldives.
Just a couple of questions .... What type of plug adaptor will I need (will the adaptors thay I used in Thailand be ok)?
Being my 1st all inclusive holiday am I suppose to tip the waiters/cleaners all of the time or just at the end of the holiday? Oh and what is the best currency to take?

Im saying in Baros for 10 days and just realised I have forgotten my camera charger!
Is there anywhere in Male that I could buy either a universal or Fuji one as we will be going there on Saturday?
Its for a Fuji XP10.

I will be staying at Huduran fushi for a week in August 2010 and need a surfboard as i cant get mine there from where i will be travelling. Is there anywhere I can buy one in Male or hire a decent one on any atolls.

Thinking of staying in Club Faru near male. How much do the excursions in a sea plane cost for a day trip. Would like to experience the sea plane and get to sea the islands.

Also what is the diving like here and will i see much in June

I'm giong to Maldives in end on Mar 06.

Does anyone know if there's any motel or inn that I can stay in whilst on Male Island? Cos i'll be stranded at the airport for 12 hrs before the speedboat come to take me to the island. Thanks!

Am having a hard time in deciding on a hotel for our honeymoon. Am looking at the following hotels Hilton, Four Seasons, taj Exotica resort and Spa, One & Only Kanuhura. Any expriences would be most appreciated.
