Indiana Northern Indiana in September - 2009
Posted: Sat June 20, 2009 05:54 PM UTC
We will be staying a week at our timeshare in Mishawaka. The itinerary so far is maybe a day in Southbend (nortre dame, studebaker), a day in Shipshewana/Amish country, a day at Indiana Dunes Nat'l Park, a day to visit relatives in Fort Wayne. We'll have 2 or 3 more days. Any ideas within a 50-100 miles of Mishawaka? We like to hike and ride bikes, and taste wine. Any restaurant suggestions?

Bloomington Trying to Locate Restaurant
Posted: Mon September 8, 2008 07:15 PM UTC
The last time I was in Bloomington we found a restaurant that we really loved, and we are going back again and want to find it again. I cannot remember the name, but it was in a house near the Indiana University campus, and it is run by an Asian family, though the menu was not strictly Asian. I remember that the art supply store wasn't far away. Does anyone know the name of the restaurant? Their food was some of the best I have ever tasted!

Muncie New Hotel in Town
Posted: Sun July 13, 2008 11:40 PM UTC
Does anybody know when the new Comfort Inn hotelis opening in town? I drove by it and saw it had signs up, but building was locked. I also looked online and found their website, which had quite a few things that I was impressed by (here's the link if anybody wants to check it out: www.comfortinn.com/hotel/in248 ) I am a frequent business traveler and prefer staying in Choice Hotels. Thanks.

Terre Haute Road trip through Terre Haute
Posted: Wed June 11, 2008 09:39 PM UTC
I'll be going through Terre Haute Friday, 13 Jun and am looking to make a stop to see what Terre Haute or the vicinity offers. I'd like to find a special local place to eat lunch, and would like to come up with at least one historical attraction not too far from Hwy 46. Also, any good microbrews to be tried, and any special sandwiches that are unique to W Indiana would be great. Thanks in advance.

Indianapolis 4th of July in Indy
Posted: Sun June 1, 2008 12:17 AM UTC
I am planning on visiting Indianapolis for the 4th of July weekend. I plan on staying downtown either at the Hilton or the Hampton Inn (Hilton points).

Do I need a car for a 3 day visit?

We love sports (we plan on seeing the Fever play against our favorite team The Sun in the WNBA. We miss Katie.)

We love wine bars, comedy clubs, and general tourist stuff.

What should we do as a priority?

We will be traveling this leg of our trip along I70 and are looking for a reasonably priced restaurant for dinner about 1-2 hours east of St Louis. We'd like easy off, easy on to I70. Indianapolis HOTEL RECOMMENDATION FROM 2145 NORTH TALBOTT ST.?
Posted: Sat September 29, 2007 08:05 PM UTC
I PLAN TO BE AT 2145 NORTH TALBOTT STREET ON OCTOBER THE 6TH, 2007
PLEASE RECOMMEND THE CLOSEST HOTEL/MOTEL TO THAT ADDRESS.
IF WE CANNOT FIND A ROOM WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE, WILL IT BE VERY HARD TO GET A TAXI BETWEEN THE HOURS OF NOON AND 3 OR 4 AM?
I'M LOOKING FOR A TRENDY RESTAURANT, A EASILY OBTAINABLE TAXI SERVICE AND A ROOM IN WALKING DISTANCE IN A SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD. THE LAST TIME I WAS IN DOWNTOWN INDY I HAD TO STAY IN A VERY SCARY NEIGHBORHOOD AND WOULD LIKE TO AVOID THAT HAPPENING AGAIN.

THANK YOU,
JENNIFER

Indiana Indiana Dunes National Park
Posted: Mon September 24, 2007 06:14 PM UTC
I'm heading up to Indiana Dunes in a couple of weeks in a 36 foot motor home. Anyone had any experience with RVs in this area? Last time we took an RV to the northeast area we found it to be very unaccommodating(very few campgrounds for RVs of this size, no dump stations or water in rest areas, difficult to find parking, etc). That was five years ago and we're hoping things have improved.

Also, we haven't been to the dunes before. As I understand it, this is a state park inside a national park??? Where would be the best location to camp to see the dunes and enjoy the beach?
