Colmar B + B or small hotel between Colmar and Strasbourg
Posted: Wed July 16, 2008 08:32 AM UTC
Would be pleased to have a recommendation for a nice bed and breakfast place or inexpensive hotel somewhere along the wine road between Colmar and Strasbourg - preferably nearer to Colmar.
Thanks for any advice!

Colmar Need some information in Colmar
Posted: Tue June 24, 2008 03:07 PM UTC
Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there's any place where I can leave my luggage for a few hours at the Colmar train station.

My husband and I are planning to go there for a couple of hours on our way back to Basel from Strassbourg.

Is the old town walkable from the train station ?

Thanks for your help

Colmar Getting around Colmar France
Posted: Sun May 18, 2008 08:49 PM UTC
I want to know how to get from Colmar to Riquewihr...without a car. I have visited Colmar before but had a car and it was very easy. But this time, I will arrive by train and would like to know if there is any way to get to Riquewihr and other small villages by taxi or private driver. I would love to hire someone to drive us around for 1/2 a day but can't find anything on the internet to arrange this. Can anyone suggest a solution?
Thank, Kathy

Colmar Alsacian glassware
Posted: Sun March 23, 2008 11:42 PM UTC
Gentlepersons: when in Colmar I purchased a dozen Alsacian wine glasses. The stems were green; the stems plus 4-5 ounce bowl were 8 inches high. I got them in a general/hardware store. Everywhere we ate, our wine was always served in these glasses. How may I order more -perhaps 2 dozen? Thank you very much. Elizabeth Earnest

Hello,
I am following my dad's path during WWII and plan on visiting Colmar in 2008. I will be traveling from the US. I do not know the French language and am a bit nervous about being able to get along ok while I am there. Also, what is the best time to visit?
Many thanks-

Colmar Trains and boats - small size
Posted: Tue January 16, 2007 03:05 AM UTC
Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone can find information about the small, green tourist train that goes through Old Town with several language translation tours. How much does it cost, how often does it run, and will it be in service the Saturday before Easter (March 31,2007)?

Also, I'm wondering about the small boats in Petite Venice. Again, how much does it cost, how often does it run, and will it be in service the Saturday before Easter (March 31,2007)? Is there a long wait to board?

Colmar Avis car rental location
Posted: Fri August 25, 2006 01:48 AM UTC
We must leave an Avis rental car at Avis' downtown Colmar office, 8 Route de Strasbourg, on a Saturday morning in late September. Mappy and Mapquest disagree on the location of this address. One shows it at the airport; the other shows it farther south. In either case, will we be able to get a local bus there to return to the center city? Or is it within 2 or 3 kilometers, so we can walk? Thanks for any help.

Hi, does anyone recommend buying rail tickets ahead of time between Belfort and Colmar? Or should there be availability if we want to buy them on the spot?

Thanks.
