Kauai Need a/c on North Shore Kauai in August?
Posted: Fri May 9, 2008 09:24 PM UTC
We are taking (finally) the teenagers for a week-long trip to Kauai at the end of August. Don't want to do much - just sit and watch the clouds roll by. We'd like to rent a house for the six of us near the beach. Will we need a/c? and where do we want to be? Two of the kids surf, two like to hike (I'm a hiker, too).

Thanks!! Linda

Maui Seeking Hotel Recommendation for Hana Area of Maui
Posted: Wed May 7, 2008 02:38 PM UTC
My wife and I will be spending a week on Maui in late June / early July, and we're planning to spend a night in the Hana area. We're seeking hotel recommendations for that area.

We like upscale accommodations, but will gladly stay in a nice bed-and-breakfast or boutique hotel. Please share any recommendations. Thanks.

Oahu affordable hostel in Oahu
Posted: Sat May 3, 2008 11:26 AM UTC
Hi!I am travelling to Oahu this June to take an exam in Prometric near Bishop Street. I am looking for a place to stay preferable a hostel. I will be staying in the island for almost 17 days. Is there anyone who knows affordable place ( less than 20 dollars per day). An area of the place where one can study (a quiet one please:), do the laundry and a kitchen will be very helpful. Your replies are very much apreciated.

We have the opportunity to go on a trip to one of three places: Maui, Belize, or St. Thomas. I am looking for opinions as to which of the three would be the best all around trip (ie. water activities, land activities)
I would really appreciate anyones opinion on this matter. Thanks in advance to all that share.

Lanai City Do I really need a car?
Posted: Thu April 24, 2008 08:34 PM UTC
This is my first time in Lanai island. I was told that the island is very small and that you don't really neeed a car there. I want to knnow that if I really need a car to get around?
My hotel offered shuttle for $35 per person to go what ever I want to go, on the main street. I don't know which one is better for me. Can you please give me some advice.
Thank you

Honolulu TOURING ISLANDS
Posted: Wed April 23, 2008 06:15 AM UTC
Hi. We have seven days at Waikiki but thought it might be good to visit the Big Island. Is it worth taking one of those day trip flights with tour? Also, with the Pearl Harbour Memorial; can you book ahead instead of having to line up outside (I've been reading other posts). If not, what's the best way to get there - tour coach, taxi or public transport? Many thanks for your help. :D

Hawaii (State of) Oahu- Honolulu Hotels
Posted: Sun April 20, 2008 06:43 PM UTC
We're looking at hotels in Honolulu. We were thinking of staying at Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach but are concerned about the construction from Trump Towers next door. Our other option is ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel. We're travelling with two older children so I'm thinking the RQ Waikiki Beach might be the better option since it's right on the beach. Any thoughts about either? Thanks!

Oahu Which Luau would you recommend
Posted: Fri April 18, 2008 09:13 PM UTC
Hi VTs!

We're going to Honolulu Hawaii and we're so excited. It will be for our 25th wedding anniversary. Another honeymoon, if you will. Hey, we're a young late forty-ish couple that likes to dance, drink, laugh, and just have fun. I've been researching on the WEB reading reviews for the best Luau on Oahu. The reviews are all over the place, good and bad, and it's been difficult to decide.
Price is not a consideration. We want good food and better drinks!
We arrive on the day of our anniversary and thought the best way to get into the island spirit was to attend a Luau that evening. Any ideas, recommendations, or cautions?

Honolulu Honolulu Stopover
Posted: Thu April 17, 2008 07:43 AM UTC
Hi everyone :-)

We have an all day stopover in Honolulu on our way to Vancover in September.
(arrive 7.45am Saturday morning & depart 10.10pm Saturday night).

Have just checked out the Honolulu Airport web site and says:

"Due to Security, Locker Storage is not available. We will not answer any e-mail regarding where you can store your luggage. The airport does not have this facility. You must ask the airline you are flying on if they can store it for you".

Anyone have any ideas what we can do for luggage storage in Honolulu so that we can go and sightsee and not have to worry?

Thanks

We will be in Honolulu for a few days in October and plan to hire a car for a day and drive around Oahu.

We will definately be taking a look at North Shore and are wondering what else on Oahu will be worth a look? Waimea Falls Park? Nuuanu Pali State Park?

Cheers

Hawaii (State of) Horseback riding
Posted: Fri April 4, 2008 07:27 PM UTC
We're going to Maui, Big Island, & Oahu in July and am looking for suggestions for horseback riding. My daughters are good riders but mom & dad are beginners. I've heard riding in Waipio Valley (BI) is very scenic. Are there any specific stables that are better than others for this? Also, are there any places on the 3 islands where they can trot & canter not just follow the leader type rides? Thanks for your help

Hawaii (State of) is June considered peak season for Oahu Hawaii?
Posted: Wed April 2, 2008 05:12 PM UTC
Hello everyone,

We are planning a trip to waikiki from 5/31/08-6/5/08 is that considered peak season? We've already booked our flight and I'm wondering if I should book my hotel now or wait for better deals later in May. I contacted someone with a timeshare and they responded back saying to book early because May and June is their high season. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Thank you for reading! =)

Honolulu Post NCL Cruise, What to do with baggage?
Posted: Sun March 30, 2008 08:02 PM UTC
Hi everyone. Any suggestions on what to do with our luggage between disembarking from our cruise ship and hotel checkin? My wife and I are taking the 7 day Pride of America Cruise. When the ship returns to port in Honolulu, we disembark at 7am, however, our hotel check is not until 3PM that day. I though of renting a car just to have someplace to put our stuff.
