Pulau Pangkor Something about Pangkor ...
Posted: Fri December 10, 2004 11:25 AM UTC
Hi travellers out there, I'm living in Singapore. I am planning a trip to Pangkor next wkend (18Dec). I hope u will be able to tell me more about the island.

Is there a lot of tourists on the island at this time of the year?

How much is bus/coach ticket from Lumut to KL and Lumut to JB and Lumut Singapore. Any idea about the schedules?

Howabout taking a flight from KL to Lumut? any experience with that? Is it worth the time saved?

Where is the most trustworthy place to rent a good reliable motorbike? In the town? Name of a shop?

Any recommendation for accomodation? around RM70 for 2 per night. beach side. nice, clean rooms with bouncy bed.

Anyway, thanks in advance for ur kind help and tips.

Many thanks and best regards,
Charles

Pulau Pangkor help!! where to stay????? looking for perfect holiday resort with low price, but good facilities!
Posted: Sat October 30, 2004 03:52 AM UTC
i'm planning to go to pangkor this december with a few of my friends. There would be around 4-6 of us, and we are quite choosy with our choice of accomodation, though we dun mind all of us squeezing into one room, if needed. We are looking for a resort which is affordable (budget round rm25-45 per person per nite), comfortable, by the beach but also near to the town area, and some where where we could get some water activities.

we've checked out some resorts, but could not make up our minds. we were thinking of coral bay resort in pasir bogak, but were not sure whether the place is nice or if there's any water activities available as we could not find any reviews on the resort. any one been there?

we also checked out lambaian beach resort, but it seems to be a bit out of out budget range. We are also considering sri bayu beach resort and seaview hotel which promised lots of activities like snorkelling, jungle trekking etc but we r not sure of its room rates and could not find much information on the internet. we've read some reviews on seaview hotel. many says that the staffs are friendly, and the view is beautiful, but the rooms are bit old.

we were initially planning to stay in pasir bogak because we read that the sea is shallow and good for water acitivities, and there are lots of seafood and food stalls around. However, many also suggest teluk nipah is the better choice. Now, we are torn between teluk nipah and pasir bogak....and also which resort to stay in. none of us has been to pangkor before, so can anyone help us with our decision? thanks a million!!!

Pulau Pangkor Lodgings in Pangkor
Posted: Thu October 28, 2004 11:56 AM UTC
Hi!

My friend and I are going to Pangkor around the Deepavali public hol in Nov. Seems like a peak season. If I were to look for accommodation when I reached there, is that advisable? Else I may want to book online.

I thought of staying Teluk Dalam Resort. There's this package from Velvet Moon Travel online that interest me... cost around RM250 for 3D2N. Do you think it is a good deal?

Anyone in Pangkor that time too?

Pulau Pangkor Is there a new beautiful island new Pulau Pangkor?
Posted: Mon October 18, 2004 12:33 PM UTC
Hi,
I heard MyFM were introducing an island near Pulau Pangkor. They said can check through by website but i really cant find it. They said if one wants to travel to 'that' island, he or she had to take a boat and arrived to that place. But the DJ didn't mention the name of that island. They said this island do not have network at all and have beautiful scene and sea water. Can anyone let me know what is that place called? Maybe i will have a chance to travel to that place and let more people know about that place?
Thanks for helping!

My gf and I are heading to KL for two days, then to Pangkor Laut Resort for 4 more. This will be our first time in Malaysia, so if anyone has good recommendations on things to do/see in either places, we'd really appreciate it!

I know there could be a lot to write about, so perhaps just some things that you think are pretty cool...
