hi!couple of friends and i will be staying in duta village beach resort.we dont have a car,therefore traveling by bus or taxi.please do recommend good food available and activities around there that we can do.

I am from Spore and planning to drive up to Kuantan/East Coast.

Thinking of staying at the Tanjong Jara Resort and read that it is over-rated. Any other recommendations? We just want a nice beach for rest and relax.

2. What are the activities/places to visit around Kuantan?
3.Is it have any delicious food around there?

I am planning to visit this beautiful east coast beach town in 2nd week of Nov 2007 for 3-4 days. We are two families with 3 kids in the age range of 2-6 yrs.
I have few questions and need your help.

1. Will it be a wet season there? How bad is the rain during this time? Does it keep raining full day during the wet season?
2. We intend to drive to Kuantan from Johor Bahru. Can somebody guide me how to reach the Swiss Garden if we use highway number 3 from Johor?
3. What are the activities/places (besides the beaches)to visit in and around Kuantan if any visitor has 2-3 days to spare?
4. I heard there is a waterfalls close to Kuantan. Is it possible to drive there? How far is it from Kuantan? Safe for families with kids?

I would like to go to Tasik Chini and the Orang Asli settlements and to the bhuddist monk statue around kuantan. It would be great if you could let me know if there are any trips arranged by local companies to these places (seperately).... I have looked at a few websites but they seem way too expensive around 35 euros onwards! I defenitely believe that it must be a lot cheaper than that! we are traveling as a group of 6, hence there must be group discount packages etc! great if you could please help me out!

what is best way to get from Penang to Kuantan???

Please tell me where are the interesting places to eat in Kuantan. I know there are a lot of eating places at Tg. Lumpur (if i'm not mistaken), but which one is the best in terms of food quality and price?

My husband and I will be travelling to Kuantan in July 2006. Can you please tell me what transport is like in Kuantan? we are staying at the Swiss Garden resort and will want to venture into town from there.

Are taxis reasonably priced?

I will go to Club Med at Kuantan in this June. But, did not choose airport transfer package. So, I would like to know how much the taxi fare from Kuantan Airport to Club Med? Will the taxi go to Club Med? Or is there any public bus? Thank you.

Hi, will be visiting Kuantan in Nov and was thinking of staying at the Duta Village Beach Resort. Does anyone have any reviews, good or bad, about this place? Can anyone advise any other clean, nice resort by the beach? Budget abt RM100/rm/night.

I have moved to IKIP college at Pahang. I am really facing communication problem here.....no one understand English. My class will start on 18th July. Currently i need to go to Kuantan City from IKIP college.

Can anyone tell me if there is any bus available from IKIP college(or from these area) to Kuantan City, what is the bus schedule from here to Kuantan and Kuantan to here. I would appreciate your help.

going to stay at the Hyattt for 10 days in Aug/Sept 05, getting a bit concerned about the hotel after reading so many bad reports. Has anybody stayed there recently if so is it ok
