Transfer from airport. Posted: Fri October 30, 2009 12:58 PM UTC
My daghter & friend arrive in KL on Nov 10th at Terminal M. What is a reasonable cost for a taxi to city centre? I've heard that taxi drivers can try to rip of newcomers who don't know the costs. Is a taxi the best way to do it?
Thanks

day trip to Melaka Posted: Tue October 27, 2009 12:21 PM UTC
Hi,
Is it possible to go to Melaka in the morning, visit throughout the day & catch an evening flight (@ 19.30 hrs) from LCCT ? I'm aware of bus services like Transnational etc. - but is that workable or taxi would be a better option ? If the latter, what could be the appx. cost for the whole day (KL - Melaka - LCCT) ?
any input is appreciated.
thanx

Shops selling womens Australian sizes 14 to 16 Posted: Mon October 26, 2009 08:01 PM UTC
Hi,
I have been to Kuala Lumpur many times and have always hadproblemsfindinglargerwomenssizes.I shopped in Tangs and found their large size really doesn't fit me. I am not huge, just plump and wonder if I am looking in the wrong places for clothes? We love Malaysia and I'd love to pick up a few things whilst I am there next week for 3 days. I really appreciate your time in reading/responding to my email.

Sundays in KL Posted: Sat October 24, 2009 11:03 PM UTC
Hi,
My girlfriend and I are travelling to Malaysia in January for a couple of weeks. We arrive in KL on a Saturday night, and we're trying to plan how long to stay in different areas. As our first full day will be a Sunday, we were wondering whether touristy places/shops/etc in KL are going to be open as usual, or whether we'd be better off exploring KL on different days of the week. Is there a regular "day of rest" in Malaysia such as is common in Europe?
Many thanks,
Nick

I'm going to fobissea in Kuala Lumpur this December and I think we'll be staying at the Boulevard Hotel. We'll probably be allowed to go to the nearby shopping mall which I found out is the Midvalley Megamall. I was wondering where in that mall can I buy skate shoes for girls and guys.

Wondering about the elephant sanctuary Posted: Tue October 20, 2009 09:40 PM UTC
We will arrive in Kuala Lumpur on 4th November for a couple of days on the way to Hong Kong. Since this is the 4th visit we have visited most of the tourist attractions which includes Batu Caves, Butterfly Farm, Petronas, Little India, Chinatown and Central Markets. I am wondering if someone could tell me if it's worth making a visit to the elephant sanctuary or recommend other options that they have experienced that might utilise our days in Kuala Lumpur.

Waiting at LCCT KL Posted: Thu October 8, 2009 02:44 PM UTC
I will be travelling Malaysia in November. When I fly back to my home, I will have 6 hours of time around midnightin LCCT Airport waiting for my next flight.
Is there any suggestion on what I can do in these 6 hours (during day time)? Do I can visit KLIA and spend some time there and back to LCCT , or do the LCCT airport itself can offer sufficient choices to spend these 6 hours. Is there any place at LCCT for a small nap and quick shower?
Thank you for your advice first.

How to hire a private taxi or driver guide for 1 day? Any recommendations Posted: Sat September 26, 2009 09:03 AM UTC
I will be going to KL for a few days in November, and would like to hire a private driver/taxi for 1 day to check out the sites outside of KL, such as Batu Caves and Kuala Selangor for fireflies. I would also like to make stops along the way and would like for the driver to show us local sights.
I did not have any luck looking for a directory of private taxis or drivers. Any advice on how to find a driver or any recommendations of good local drivers is greatly appreciated. Also, information on rates would be helpful. Thank you.
