Hi,
Is it possible to go to Melaka in the morning, visit throughout the day & catch an evening flight (@ 19.30 hrs) from LCCT ? I'm aware of bus services like Transnational etc. - but is that workable or taxi would be a better option ? If the latter, what could be the appx. cost for the whole day (KL - Melaka - LCCT) ?

am going to Melaka next week and the main reason why i go there is because i want to experience the infamous Night Flea Market at Jonker Walk, where the roads are blocked from cars and traffic.

however, i'm still confused about the timing. some website says that it is held on weekend only (friday-sunday), but another said that it held every night. so which one is true? cos i don't want to go there on Monday and find nothing about Night Market :0

Hi hi VTers! Know this is a strange question but I didn't realise my trip next weekend coincides with the start of the EPL season! Quite excited to see how the season starts, does anyone know where I can watch the live matches? Any pubs? I'll be staying at Puri, and from what I remember, they do not really have cable tv or rather, no soccer channel...any replies greatly appreciated!

This is the first time I will visit Malacca after 10 over years. Where are the shopping areas in Malacca? Are there any factory outlets shops (FOS) in Malacca and where?

Hi, I'm planning to go to Melaka in August (first time there!). I'll be travelling from KL to Melaka and would like to know:

1. Roughly what is the last bus to depart from Melaka to KL (seems like either the bus websites don't seem to be working, or don't have any such info)
2. How do I get to Gadek Spring (bus/taxi? - and where to board) from Melaka?
3. Is 2 hours enough to stay in Gadek Hot Springs?

I've seen previous posting saying Transnasional is a good coachline to take to Malacca from/to Kuala Lumpur. But their website doesn't seem to be working properly.

Anyone know the status of this company? Or any other suggestions?

I have a 1-day trip from KL to Melaka just over a week from now.
First question is, is ONE day enough to go KL -> Melaka (for the day) -> KL?

are there any buses that originate from malacca going to KL LCCT? im planning to visit malacca from KL(staying there for 2 days and overnight in malacca), then trying to catch a flight to langkawi. is it possible to go directly to KL LCCT or do i have to go back to KL sentral to catch the sky bus?

also would like to ask if it would be possible to see much of the sites in malacca in just one day. the last time i was in KL, i saw advertisements of a half day trip to malacca.

Hi, I planning to go there over the weekend. Was thinking which hotel is better. Aldy Hotel, Stadhuys or Aldy Hotel, Chinatown. I am going with my family with old folks and young children. Please advise, thanks.

I'll be driving to Melaka and staying at Aldy Hotel. But as told by the hotel, I have to parked at the public car park beside. I'm concern of the security especially for overnight parking.

From the map, there's a police station beside the hotel,I wonder if there'll be more frequent police petrolling over night?

Thanks to kentut besar and cochinjew, I was able to book Grassland Express tickets online(leaving Golden Mile Shopping Centre, Beach Road) from Singapore to Melaka.

I will also be traveling from Melaka to KL, and then KL to Penang. Grassland Express does not go from Melaka to KL. What bus companies might make these two trips? Where can I buy the tickets? My trip is in December. thanks!

Can anyone confirm that there is a Plusliner bus leaving Singapore for Melacca that departs from the Singapore Copthorne Orchid Hotel,Dunearn Street?

Plusliner Bus Services web site does not list one.

If not, where is the easiest place to catch a bus to Melacca without dealing with the crowds?

Will be going to A Farmosa from Singapore in December sch holidays but direct coach package here for a 3D2N from Five Stars is $285 per pax and is expensive. Can anyone help me with a cheaper alternative bypass ?

1. Where to catch a reliable express bus in JB to Melaka? Can I buy them from Merlin Tower next to customs or Larkin? Heard its cheaper than SIN-MALAKA.

2. Upon arrival at Melaka Sentral Bus Terminal, where can I catch a bus to A Farmosa? Is it expensive if I catch a taxi there?

3. Likewise, on the return leg, where can I get reputable express bus ticket from Melaka back to Singapore directly?
