I'll take a transnasional bus from Puduraya station to Melaka on 18 July 08 and will stay 1 night there and on 19 I'll return back to Puduraya. I want to know that can I book for the bus ticket in advance on 18 July? Or I can buy it on 19 July. And for bus no.17 at Melaka,where should I wait for the bus stop on the way back? We went to the Butterfly Park last year and there were no butterflies. The reason given was that there was renovation work and the butterflies escaped! In fact we saw more crocodiles than butterflies in the same park...

So you can bet this time, we are not going to the butterfly park in Ayer Keroh.

Also, can anyone advise which hotel is better, Hotel Puri or Aldy Hotel ? I think both are, more or less, in Bandar Hilir, but I've not stayed in Puri before, so would appreciate some guidance.

Oh, before I forget, there is a popular place for Dim Sum in Jln Laksaman Cheng Ho, its on the ground floor of a 4-storey hotel diagonally opposite the "new" Tan Kim Hock. Does anyone know the name of the Hotel & the restaurant ? The last time I was there (in 2004), it was called Restoran Yum Yum, in Hotel Bentona, but someone told me its changed.

Also, any recommendations for good Chinese seafood ?

please help with following.
I will arrive to Melaka on the 3th. of february, around 6Pm and want to leave to Johor on the 5th, afternoon. Can someone advise the bus schedule from melaka to johor, because the one which i found is not clear.
The other thing, if i have almost two days in Melaka, does it worth to visit D-paradise on one day, and stay in Melaka the other day? If so, how can I get to D -Paradise? I would go around on my own, I mean with bycicle or a buggy.

I really like the sound of the town.
I had been thinking of travelling up to Penang from S'pore but as Melaka is so much closer I think we'll go there instead. The only thing is we're a family with 8 & 10 year olds and we'd really like to combine Malaysian culture with a nice beach, on a back backers budget.
Can this be done in Melaka?

Hi! I just arrived in KL this morning and I have to be in Singapore on the 19th to catch a plane to Tokyo. I plan on staying in Singapore for 3 days which leave me 3 days to split between KL and Melaka. Should I stay in KL for 2 nights and then head to Melaka on the 15th and leave for Singapore the next day? Or should I just stay in KL for 3 days and not visit Melaka?

Any coach tat goes to Melaka from Port Dickson? How long is the journey? How much per person? It will be better if i can rent a mini van (with the driver) to Melaka (one way). I also need help of how to book the coach back from Melaka to Singapore.

Anyone knows the address or how to get to the famous chicken rice ball and chendol in melaka. If I'm not wrong, both are near to the famous red building. Heard tat the chinese "tau sa pia" are nice too. Any advice on the whereabouts?

last mth I dropped by Jonkers Walk n had a rather great night of shoppin n soakin up the laid back atmosphere (amidst some haggling going on)...

unfortunately, this time rnd I will b staying for a Monday night... any pasar malams to recommend?... tht is good (non-touristy + large) and tht is near Red House. Thks a lot!
