Bus from Ipoh to Singapore Posted: Sun April 27, 2008 03:04 PM UTC
Is there a bus direct to Singapore using the Tuas second crossing? I have a lot of luggage to carry. Alternatively, is the train running directly from Ipoh or do I have to change at KL? What about Immigration and Customs. Is it as cumbersome as Causeway one crossing to Woodland?

Salted Chicken (yim kuk kai) Shops Posted: Sat October 28, 2006 05:10 AM UTC
Hi Folks,
Was in Ipoh on 24/09 (Raya Day 1). Took my time there till 5pm and went to the salted chicken shop in town (near Kamdar, think is called Jalan Theatre). Can you believe it, the chicken is all sold-out.
And so the question. Is that shop the only one in Ipoh? Cannot be right?

Car Rental Posted: Fri July 21, 2006 08:24 PM UTC
Hello,
Planning a vacation to Ipoh from Canada. Any suggestions on which car rental agencies still exist in Ipoh given that it's a "ghost town" for tourist and young people. Try on the web but no luck in locating any car rental agency with pick up location in Ipoh. Your replies are most appreciated!!! Terima Kasih...

Getting to Ipoh from Taman Negara Posted: Mon May 15, 2006 04:12 AM UTC
I will be going to Taman Negara and from there, would like to go to Ipoh. From Ipoh, back to Singapore.
Q. What's the quickest way to get to Ipoh from Taman Negara?
I am considering going to KL after Taman Negara and taking a flight to Ipoh from KL as I'm not sure as to the safety of travelling alone (female that I am) by bus in unfamiliar territory. I don't speak Bahasa Melayu and there might be customs that I'm not aware of (like proper clothing, etc.)
I will be leaving in a few days and hope someone out there has plied this route before and give share his/her travel wisdom. Thanks in advance.
