We are staying in Sepilok and was wondering if it is possible to do a day trip up the Kinabatangan River to Sukai.

Hi,
We're travelling to Sabah in August and instead of going on a tour to the Kinabantangan area I am wondering if it is possible to organize such a trip individually. Therefore I would be thankful if someone has information about the following: -Is there any accommodation in Sukau itself (hotels, homestay, etc?) -Is it possible to 'charter' a boat in Sukau in order to go onto the Kinabantangan river? I'm going to Sabah in March and was wondering how easy it is to go to Sukau without a tour and of a good guide to hire once we get there! Or can anyone recommend a good tour to take (Mid Budget) |

Hi everyone,
My boyfriend and I are travelling to Sabah in late october 2004 for 16 days. We have pre-booked 3 days at the Gayana resort. I have only seen pictures of the resort on the web and fell in love with it but would anyone have any comments/feedback about the resort and what we can do on the island? Also, has anyone been to the Sukau rainforest Lodge? It looks really beautiful..Is it worth visiting the lodge and doing the river cruise? |
