Johor Bahru SIN-Senai Airport
Posted: Thu July 10, 2008 04:51 AM UTC
If my flight departs at 20:45 from Senai, what is the latest time I should reach Queen St, Sinagpore to catch a taxi Senai airport ?

Do I need to dissembark from the taxi and bring along the luggage when i am going thru immigration & custom check points in both Singapore & Malaysia ? Or I can just remain in the taxi when going thru' the checkpoints ?

How much does it cost for the taxi ?

Thanks.

Johor Bahru Suggestions on a day trip with teenagers!!
Posted: Mon July 7, 2008 10:04 AM UTC
We are going to Singapore on Friday with two 16 year old boys for a holiday and a friend suggested a day trip to Johor Bahru. Thought it would be a exciting for them to get to see 2 countries in a day!

Any info that would make the day interesting and memorable for the boys would be appreciated, the shopping for me sounds great, but the trip itself is actually for my son's 16th birthday so I should make it a bit fun for them as well I guess... haha

Thanks all in advance :)

Johor Bahru Indian restaurants in JB
Posted: Sat May 31, 2008 03:33 PM UTC
Vanakam & greetings to all.

Someone told me about this place called "Chakra's" (don't know if I've spelt it correctly); apparently, its in an area called Taman Molek, somewhere near the TNB.

Can anyone tell me what I should tell the Teksi driver at City Square if I want to go there?

Also, any advice on other good Indian restaurants (decor must be good, at least along the lines of Restoran Amma, in Jalan Terus), I'd be eternally grateful.

Terima kasih banyak :)

Johor Bahru Need clean budget hotel near Senai Airport
Posted: Wed May 7, 2008 06:59 AM UTC
We are two american couples traveling from S'pore to Kuching via Air Asia out of Senai. We will make the transfer from S'pore to JB by taxi. Our flight to Kuching leaves at 7:00am so we thought it better to stay the night in JB. But we are having trouble finding lodging near the airport - only Sofitel, which is quite expensive. Since we will be there for 10 hours for sleep and shower, we would like to find something less expensive. any suggestions, please?

Johor Bahru What are the grocery items I can't buy?
Posted: Tue May 6, 2008 03:45 AM UTC
I understand some items are not allowed to be brought across the customs from JB to Singapore. Is it rice, cooking oil, sugar? Would anyone be able to tell me what other items are also not allowed? What about milk powder?

I just want to do the correct thing and not have problems when crossing the border customs after grocery shopping in JB. Thank you.

We will arrive to Sendai Airport on Air Asia flight from Kuchin at some 11pm and plan to leave next morning by bus to Mersing, so we are just looking for a place to get some sleep. Thanks.

Johor Bahru Antiques and junk shops in JB
Posted: Tue February 19, 2008 08:05 PM UTC
Hello there! My wife and I are travelling through JB on our way from Kuching to Singapore and this time we are actually going to stop t have a bit of a look around. We have only ever travelled through by train from KL to Singapre and vv.

We are very interested in Antiques and Collectables and are wondering if there are any areas in JB where we can rummage around to our heart's content.

Looking forward to 'seeing' JB at last.

Best wishes and happy travels

Johor Bahru Executive Coach From Johor To Kuala Lumpur??
Posted: Thu January 31, 2008 03:32 AM UTC
I have checked with various coaches, and all they offer from Johor to KL are those normal coaches. The one which cost RM24.

Are there any coaches that offers an alternative higher class coach? The one with little sitting on the bus and with own tv and sometimes they serve meals on board too.

Thanks all!
