Train trip Posted: Thu September 22, 2005 05:11 PM UTC
Hi Friends,
Although we are pretty well travelled, we have never gone on our own by train. We are exploring visiting France, Switzerland, Austria, and Lichtenstein by rail. We (2 people) plan on being in Europe for about 2 weeks but have no particular itinerary in mind yet, and no idea of how long we'll be staying in each location. We will be each carrying 1 regular size piece of luggage plus a tote. NO BACKPACKS and we need what we're taking! Is it easily doable to travel by Eurail, stay in a centrally located, reasonably priced hotel for 1 or more days, and get on another train to our next destination? Are all intercity trains covered by Eurail? Do you need reservations in advance? What is the difference in 1st & 2nd class? If we buy a 10-15 day pass(I'm not sure how they're sold)is it good for a sleeper, or is that a different ticket? Can you mix sleeper/non sleeper, 1st & 2nd class on the same ticket?
Any and all info would be appreciated, even if I asked the wrong questions.

Stay in October Posted: Sun July 31, 2005 08:00 AM UTC
I am looking to find a place around Alps to stay in October for few days. I perhaps will choose Vaduz, but it depends on the answers for the following questions:
1- What will be the temperature during October?
2- Is there any small alley for shopping? so we can buy and eat meals.
3- What is the range of daily stay at 4 stars hotels?

Can anyone in Liechtenstein tell me what you do for Christmas celebrations? We're doing research in class about Christmas around the world, and our group chose Liechtenstein. Any information would be extremely helpful. Thanks, Pam

Campground Posted: Sun July 4, 2004 07:13 PM UTC
Can anyone recommend a camp site in Liechtenstein? We first will spend some nights in Luxembourg and then travel on to Manerba del Garda, Italy, and we are thinking of staying a day or so in Liechtenstein.
Secondly, is it worth the trouble to go there at all? (mm am of course going for another dot on my vt-map ;-))
Thanks in advance, Roelien

APARTMENT, PENSION, CHALET LISTINGS Posted: Wed May 26, 2004 06:58 PM UTC
Hello, I hope someone can help me. I am looking for apartment or pension or chalet listings (for rental and/or purchase) and I'm just not finding any information on the internet. A couple of people have told me that the best listings are in the newspapers in Liechtenstein or Switzerland. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could please fax me a copy of apartment listings for a small town calleds Mals in Liechtenstein.
Thank you for your time
Regards, Hunter

POSTCARDS Posted: Wed February 18, 2004 01:30 PM UTC
Hi everyone! My name is Ginte and I am from Lithuania. I collect postcards from all over the world as most people here at VT. I would be really happy if someone would be interested in sending me a postcard from Liechtenstein, as I have no one in my collection from this country. Mostly I have postcards from Europe, but not from all countries yet. If you'd like I could send you a postcard from Lithuania too. Thank you!

Rent a country!!! Posted: Thu September 25, 2003 02:14 PM UTC
Yesterday I read in a Danish paper that for 600 000 DKK you could rent the entire Liechtenstein with its facilities for Christmas. The paper suggested it for your company Christmas party! :-))) Anyone heard of this before?
