Hello,

If you travel from Skopje to Tirana (http://www.sas.com.mk/en/), you will arrive at 04:30u in Tirana. This is not the way I prefer things for us both but what can you do.

Is it safe to arrive in Tirana at this time ? Are there any places you can go to to kill the time till the morning (in Skopje there is a 24/7 casino at the bus station) ?

Any suggestions ?

Pls can anyone help me out? We are a group of Maltese friends travelling to Tirana from Athens via Albanian Airline. We are leaving from Malta to Athens with Airmalta. We have been informed that we cannot settle payment with an online bank transaction. So how on earth can we pay??

I have been hearing a lot about the Lake Komani ferry leaving from Shkoder and I'm very keen to fit it into my trip (though I have limited time). I know I can get a bus from Tirana to Shkoder but from there I don't know anything more. I want to get to Prizren/Pristina in Kosovo after so I need to know if there is any available transport from the North to there. If not (and I have to come back to Tirana to catch a bus to Pristina) it would be good to know how often the Komani ferry runs so I can plan when to go and when to return!

Can anybody give any advice on what would be a good hotel or a restaurant for a nice elegant wedding for approx. 100 people in Tirana? Also is there any good wedding agency that can help out with the organisation? I tried to find some website but no luck. Please help. Thank you!

I'm visiting Tirana and Durres in mid-November: just wondered if anyone local would like to accompany me for part of the time as guide and interpreter? Not speaking Albanian (or Italian) I could miss a lot.

And another question. we're two arriving at the airport at 23:00 planning to cycle along the balkans for a month, So, how can we get to tirana from the airport (with the bicycles and without cycling) at that time (about 23:00 -24:00).

I am arriving in Durres in the early morning from Bari and need to reach Skopje by same day/night. Is it possible to catch the bus (or other transportation) from Durres without going into Tirana? And the only information I can find about the bus from Tirana to Tetovo is that it runs only 6 days a week. Any approximate time when this bus leaves?
All advice is greatly appreciated.

I am planning a trip next summer and I have found no connections between Tirane and Dubrovnik!!! What is the best way to get there? I know I have to switch buses somewhere but where is the best place? Any help would be greatly appreciated

i am currently in germany and am starting my trip to the balkans very soon. I had a question about how to get from Kotor (montenegro) ultimately to Skopje so that I can get a train to greece. But I wanted to go through Ohrid, if that was at all possible, near Skopje. I guess the easiest way would be to Tirana but I cannot find any way to get from Kotor to Tirana without going all the way to Belgrade.

I read that there are no direct buses and it is necessary to change in Struga, is this correct?

Does anyone know the departure time of buses from Tirana to Struga/Ohrid? How long does it take by bus? (I read somewhere that it is 3.5 hrs but have also heard it is 5.5 hrs) Planning to travel in June.

We are group visiting Tirane some time next year, and have been looking for a reasonable priced hotel where parking a foreign car is guarded or safe.

Any ideas would be extremely appreciated.
