| Gibraltar | Up to date bus details to Algeciras Posted: Sun April 6, 2008 03:52 PM UTC
Hi there,
Does any one know which bus company runs the bus from Algeciras to Gibraltar or La linea. I am looking for a timetable and keep being passed to Portillo bus company which does not run this route. I emailed them direct and recieved a direct reply to this question today 6th April 08. If anyone has any suggestions of which bus company to try that would be so helpful. Thanks and Regards Angie |

I heard that you can only take tobacco/cigaretts over the border between 9am and 9pm. If this is correct, does it apply all week? or not at the weekends? :S

| Gibraltar | Tax on your income when working in Gib but living in Spain Posted: Thu November 15, 2007 03:02 AM UTC
Hi,
I've been doing searches on the net and trying to find advice on some stuff. I came across someone saying if you work in Gibraltar but live in Spain, you then have to pay Spanish tax on your income instead of the Gibraltar tax. Is this true? Or can/do you still have the Gib tax on your income? Also, does anyone know the Spanish tax rates? Thanks |

| Gibraltar | Car Hire / Cross border card Posted: Sun November 11, 2007 03:57 PM UTC
We are visiting Gib at the end of November for 4 days. We want to hire a car - and have been quoted from £54 - £82 from different companies for the same type of vehicle. One company include a cross border card in the price. As we want to go into Spain from Gib - can anyone tell me if it is necessary to have this card or can we drive into Spain in a hire car without it??

Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone knows of any car insurance providers in both Gibraltar and Spain, that will insure people under 25. I am 21 and most of the insurance companies I have come across will only insure people aged 25 and over. I have been driving in the UK for over 4 years now. |

| Gibraltar | accommodation Posted: Mon September 24, 2007 10:02 AM UTC
Hola!
Am going to driving around Spain in March 08 and will be going to Gibraltar for a few days in the middle of it all. The idea is to explore Gibraltar and also ferry across to Tangiers. We are a fmaily of 4 (children will be 6 & 8 years when we travel) and would ideally like to all be in one room. Will do interconnecting rooms but they usually bump the price sky high and Gibraltar is looking VERY expensive and are looking for reasonable and clean - accommodation is just for sleeping and ideally parking the car of a night. So are we better to stay in Gibraltar, Algeciras, Tarifa or elsewhere in terms of exploring Gibraltar and getting the ferry? Am I right, also in thinking the ferry is from Tarifa and runs every day? We will be arriving around these parts from Granada direction and then leaving to head in the direction of Sevilla. grateful for any help/advice/tips thank you |
