Climate in Bali Posted: Wed April 22, 2009 07:03 PM UTC
What's the best time to visit Bali for relaxing at the beaches but also for day trips to sightsee?
As I realize there will be monsoon time during European winter, so you'd disadvise to come to Bali in december or January?

From Kuta to Padang Bai Posted: Thu December 25, 2008 07:16 PM UTC
Hi all,
My friend and I will be going to Bali for diving next month. We booked a room at Febri's Hotel and Spa which is at Kuta, however, later we are advised by the dive operator to stay at Padang Bai instead so that we do not have to travel for very far for the diving every morning for 4 days. Can someone tell me how long will it take to go from Kuta to Pandang Bai ? if staying at pandang is better for us, can you recommend a hotel there?
Thanks alot !!

Vegan restaurants in Kuta. (Where exactly are thes two located?) Posted: Sun December 14, 2008 09:05 AM UTC
Could you help me find where these two restaurants are in Kuta. I found them on www.happycow.com
Are they located near the Hard Rock Cafe?
If you know of any other vegan restaurants please let me know.
Happy Buddha Vegetarian Restaurant
Jl. Raya Kuta 143, Tuban 99 M (82 C), Kuta
Directions: From the Jl Legian and Jl Pantai Kuta intersection, follow the signs to Denpasar, or ask locals for "Sentral Parkir." The restaurant is located on the right, about 200 m before the parking. Can go there by foot, it's a 12 minutes walk along the main road. Reported open as of September 2008.
Harmony
Jl Sunset Road Legian 8D, Kuta
(at 100 m west of intersection where Jl Raya Kuta becomes Jl Imam Bonjol)
Thanks!

Please help with hotel choice Posted: Wed September 24, 2008 02:59 AM UTC
Hello fellow travellers,
I posted this in the Bali forum but thought I'd try here as well.
My partner and I are going to Bali in December and I'm blown away by the amount of different hotels there are and am finding it hard to choose. Can anyone please offer some advice?
What we would like:
Somewhere in Kuta, low key (i.e. not a party hotel), nice pool, nice room, nice price - we'll go to $50pp a night but really would prefer something around $30-$40.
We would like to relax around the pool, maybe get massage, drinks, etc.
Thank you so much in advance for any advice you can offer, would really appreciate it.

apartment in kuta 3 million/ month Posted: Tue January 8, 2008 04:20 PM UTC
I am looking for an apartment in Kuta to rent for 1 month in June. I only want to pay 3 to 4 million a month or about $300 to 400 USD. Last time I was there, there were tons of these ads in the newspapers. But this is quite hard to find online.
I would like to book a place before I leave. 1 or 2 bedrooms. Aircon. Hot and Cold Water. Clean. Any help or leads would be great.
Thank You
Jen

overstaying visa Posted: Sun December 31, 2006 11:53 AM UTC
I booked a plane flight out of Bali Indonesia one day later then my visa is good for. I tried changing the flight but they were booked or way too expensive. Is there a fine for staying one day longer or is it something much worse? Should I act on this now and if so, What steps should I take to resolve this issue as to not have any complications when trying to board my flight?
If anyone could respond quickly, it would be greatly appreciated as I am leaving in only a few days.

Anywhere to go for seafood at Kuta? Will be going there for a company incentive trip to meet up with other Asia partners, hence will probably be going for nice seafood. Where can we go which is near?
Any interesting place to go? Clubbing? Sight seeing?

Where is "The Villa"? Posted: Sat March 25, 2006 08:09 AM UTC
Hi all,
my friend was telling me about this establishment known as "The Villa" that's supposed to be in Kuta.
However, I've searched for it to no avail.
Does anyone know where it is and perhaps can direct me to a website?
:)
Or, has it changed its name to something else?
Thanks all!
Have a great weekend!
Ciao,
Francesca

Taman Ayu Cottage in Seminyak Posted: Mon March 6, 2006 01:48 PM UTC
Hi everyone,
I'm planning a trip to Bali in April. Found Taman Ayu Cottage on the internet. The hotel looks very nice based on the pictures I found on their own web site. The prices are good too. Has anybody stayed at Taman Ayu Cottage in Seminyak? Any feedback on their room quality and service?
Thank you very much!

Bakungsari hotel Posted: Wed February 8, 2006 01:00 PM UTC
Hi there!
Will be in Kuta this summer, and I can't quite make up my mind, hope someone can help me. Last summer I stayed in Wina hotel, which was excellent price/value. They increased their prices, a bit, but as we're on a pretty tight budget this year, we're considering going to Bakungsari hotel. It's about 5 euros cheaper a night, but I'm wondering if it's a big bother getting to Kuta beach from this hotel, and how the previous experiences in the hotel are? Basically, is it worth saving the 5 euros a night, or should I stick to Wina?
Thanks!
