Hi Folks,
I'm booking flights to India today and have been offered a good price, but the flight doesn't arrive in to Delhi until 11pm at night.. Is it pretty easy to get a taxi at that time of night to a hotel?
we're backpacking, so we're watching our money etc, but if it's likely to be a problem I may well get a different flight.

Has anyone been to the Orchid Garden Hotel in Karol Bagh, New Delhi? If so, is it a decent place? I have been looking in vain for a clean, safe, central and affordable hotel in New Delhi and this is the closest I have been able to come up with. Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks.

Planning to be in India for the New Year 2008. I was wondering if anyone had stayed or heard reviews regarding theses mid-range hotels that I'm considering...

I heard from a work colleague that Nirulas or Connaught Hotels were a better choice than the Madonna Hotel in Delhi...

Any other suggestions in Agra? My original accommodations were booked; however, I came across the Yamuna View, formerly "Hotel Ashok Agra." Has anyone stayed/had friends who have stayed there?

I am just wondering is there anyone who can help me about what kind of food and drink is safe in India (New Delhi) please! Because I heard tab water and ice and cold foods are contained with some bacteria’s for dire and stomach problem. Is that true?

my husband and i will travel from US to Delhi in April'08, would like to stop by Hong Kong for a couple of days. Hi,

I'm trying to book a flight between Jodhpur and Chennai in late January. The Indian Airlines flight from Jodhpur arrives in Delhi at 7:20pm and the connection (on the same airline) to Chennai leaves at 8:00pm. Are we cutting it too close? There's an alternate flight on Kingfisher that leaves Delhi at 8:40pm - would that be a better bet? The 2nd option might involve a switch from Terminal 1A to 1B, but it looks like Kingfisher will allow us to check in online & save us some time.

Is it safe to go to Agra/Taj alone? Any suggestions of good tour(s) by travel agency? What will be the perfect time to visit? Any other interested places/activities other than Taj Mahal? Perhaps some good online travel agencies/hotel bookings will be helpful. Thank you.

I'm arriving in Delhi on December 9th. Afterwards I'm planning to visit Taj Mahal and then travelling to Rajasthan where I'm going to do a desert trip (about 3 days or so).
Is there someone planning to do the same? Would be great to experience this nice place with someone else.

I am looking for a hotel in New Delhi, between 2nd November and 30th November.
Ideally, somewhere conveniently located between Connaught Place and Moti Nagar.

I understand that I will have to use the Metro to get from one to the other.

Ideally, something 4* upwards, and being such a long stay, surely there must be cheaper rates than that on websites.

I'm going on a tour arriving in Delhi the beginning of Dec. Is it necessary to get immunizations. My doctor says it is. I'm a bit leary of taking typhoid, malaria, hepititus plus additional things. I have been away from India for quite a while.I'd like information about some good, decent hotels in the range of around Rs.1000/night which are close to the medical college and some good shopping areas( i guess like karol bagh!).I will very much appreciate the info.

just looking for some advice
me and two friend will be in Delhi for 12 days from the 7th to the 19th of November, before we go to South East Asia and would like to see and do as much as possible in these three days. We have looked at tours offered by travel agents but have decided to go independant.
Is this a wise move and will it work out cheaper?

Apart from an overnight trip to see the Taj Mahal at 6am and a trip to Agra what else would you advise??? we would like to ride elephants and we are more interested in seeing everything with as little european input as possible. we want to do everything via the locals.

Any advise, and itineraries would be much appreciated.

I'll be leaving for Delhi in 2 days time. I'm just wondering whether I will have any problem using my cirrus card which has a 6 digits pin code in Delhi. I've been told that it's advisable to activate a 4 digits pin code if I want to use my cirrus card in Delhi. Any truth in the advise?

Can any one tell me what is difference between delhi and hazrat nizamuddin station. Is there major distance between these two stations? What will be the approximate cost for this much traveling by auto rikshaw?
