Goa Home @ Patnem
Posted: Thu November 5, 2009 10:22 AM UTC
Hi,

Off to Goa next Feb 2010 and staying at Home beach bungalows in Patnem. Has anyone stayed there before and can tell me what is like ? Most reviews I've read have been positive. Also can you name some good eateries on the beach? We are seafood mad so can't wait to get there ? Are there any ATMs nearby also ? Oh and how much is a large Kingfisher beer !!

Cheers ;-)

Goa Weather in Goa nest 2 weeks......rain???? Argh!!!
Posted: Wed November 4, 2009 08:34 AM UTC
Hi All,

I'm flying out to Goa tomorrow, staying in Calangute, Palmarinha. I've been a couple of times before to Baga and Arpora, in Feb & April a few years back....glorious sunshine! Thought the weather would be good in November....but just checked the forecast and there is supposed to be rain, storms and more rain for the foreseeable future...according to BBC weather.

Is anybody out there already - is it likely to be raining the whole time, or just a few showers? What's the locaL WEATHER REPORT SAYING? I have never seen it rain in Goa before - was really looking forward to some much needed sunshine. Is it likely to be heavy rain?? :0(

Goa Rent a car for self driving
Posted: Mon October 26, 2009 01:15 PM UTC
Hi,
Can i rent a car for the 4 of us when in Goa for about 3/4 days? Can anyone help me with a telephone number?
It would be great if the company doing this is a reputed one as i do not want to spend money & time with a 'not-up-to-the-mark' car?
What are approximate costs?
Thanks

Posted: Mon October 26, 2009 01:12 PM UTC
10 of us will be in Goa in November on a family holiday.
We have a special event on the night of the 14th and would like to go to a good place for dinner. The place has to be spaceous and needs to serve really good food as its the first birthday of my son (and there are are 3 really small kids in addition to the 10)
Any suggestions... We will be based in Benaulim and can travel atleast upto Panaji.
As mentioned before ....comfort & quality/variety of food are very important...
Any suggestions for us?

Goa Chorao in Goa
Posted: Thu October 22, 2009 11:09 AM UTC
I'm planning a trip in December for about 5-6 days, and found listings for this island which I've never visited before. We've been to Goa several times, so I'm not desperate to see the markets and beaches - perhaps a beach on one of thedays would be nice.

I'm told by my travel agent that the ferry connection is really bad and I will spend 2 hours travelling each way if I want to go into town (apparently the ferry moves only when full).

While I don't want to party in town, I don't want to be marooned on the island either in case we have a medical situation or some such emergency. Not sure I should trust the travel agent because he doesn't get any commission on this one, but then I haven't heard of this island before either so I'm not sure.

If anyone on this forum knows just how difficult it is really, and shares the info, it will be really helpful.

Thanks

Goa Goa - where to go?
Posted: Tue October 6, 2009 10:43 AM UTC
hi there

a friend & I will be in Goa from about the 5th - 9th of Jan 2010. We are not sure where the nicest beaches are and where we should stay, does anyone have any advice? I hear Anjuna is a popular spot, and we also have the option to stay in an apartment in Candolim but not sure which is nicer or if there are better places to stay at while we are there. It will be at the end of our trip so looking for a relaxed place to rest before heading home but which can also offer somethings to do other than just lying on the beach.

Thanks, look forward to some advice.
