i am going to be in Jaipur from the 10th - 13th
can anyone reccomend a nice hotel. my budget is usd $20 a night.
The hotel should be centrally located.
IS there any nightlife?
Which is the best way to go to Agra from Jaipur.

I will be going to India later this year and one of the cities I will be visiting is Jaipur. My travel agent has book me for SAMODE HAVELI and also another day at ALSISAR HAVELI, has anyone stayed at either one of these hotels? If so, how would you rate them overall?
I know nothing really about this city, it was the only one my travel agent added to "my list" .... I love "culture, villages, PEOPLE, elephants, nature.. not really into old buildings (smile) would I be able to find this kind of thing in Jaipur? Thank you in advance!!

i am having trouble finding a train from jaipur to varanasi. does anyone know if there is a direct train? the train # and times.

i tried using the indian government railway site, punching in jaipur to varanasi, but they say they do not have any matches. i even tried jaipur to agra, and agra to varanasi and no luck.

We are interested in finding out if is possible to hire a car and driver to take us to Delhi from Jaipur? if so how much should we pay? and would it be possible to organize this thru the hotel?
If car is not the best option what others are there?

We are travelling with friends -so 4 of us -and we want to go around Rajasthan with a car and driver- start delhi- depart Udaipur by air....
Is it advisable to book hotels well in advance- it is December that we will be there,
and what would the daily expense for a car including all taxes fuel, driver accomodation etc run ..any ideas is truely appreciated... travel companies have tried to charge us $800/per person for 8-9 days...not in our budget ai'm afraid and sur we must be able to do a hec of a lot better than that,

We are a group of 15 people travelling to Delhi and then on to Jaipur next January. We will attend an exhibition so will not travel around anywhere else. I am trying to find the best way to get to Jaipur from Delhi - flight costs are quite expensive for a big group of people. Would it be a good idea to hire a minibus with driver to drive from Delhi to Jaipur - stay there 13 days and then drive back to Delhi??

Hi, Does anybody know the quickest way to get from Agra to Jaipur either by train or flying. I can't seem to find any details on direct flights.

I will travel to India in 2004.
I am flexible and can travel anytime from April-Dec for up to 6 months. That is the safest, cleanest and best place for on French person and 2 Americans to travel? How are we meet people in India? We do not have tourist mentalities.

we are visiting Delhi, Jaipur and Agra in November and I have been told that Jaipur is a good place to buy jewellery.
Anyone bought any there ? would be grateful for info on prices, reputable stores etc.
I do know about the scam in buying precious stones.
Also does anyone know if charms for charm bracelets are available
